11.0.7 is just awful

This expac just keeps getting worse and worse. I just can’t understand how these devs think we won’t notice that they are just recycling the same skins, the same mechanics, the same stupid story over and over since Vanilla. Who put these people in charge? It’s embarrassing at this point.

Our intro into the next chapter is a borrowed power ring, an azerite island filled with old assets, and the exact same world quests and mechanics we’ve seen since day one? Really, Bliz? This is what you do with the millions you make off our subs and 90 dollar mounts? Really?

We don’t need another Azerite island, or another artifact. We need:

New mechanics, new playstyles, new, interesting zones (destructible buildings, housing, defense towers, etc.), PVP gear scaling to equal power in all situations including in non-rated bgs, restoration and re-use of old zones (barrens, etc.) NOT creation of another mechagon island, mounts with abilities and battle capabilities, CLASS BALANCE, bug fixes, lag fixes, dyes for transmogs and more transmogs, transmoging for all weapon types regardless of class, barber shop and race model updates (new skins, better graphics, better hands, etc.), better allied races (Ogre, anything but a stone dwarf), NEW battlegrounds and arenas with new mechanics and arena types, and SO MUCH MORE.

There are so many things you could be doing to make the game fun and engaging but instead all you do is regurgitate the same boring low-effort crap expansion after expansion, while still being incompetent with your game balance. It’s unreal. Haven’t you learned your lesson yet with all the complaints and failures since Legion? This truly is an abusive relationship at this point.

I played the PTR and it was so dull I’m almost read to unsubscribe purely based on the low effort put into that ridiculous island. I had hopes for a WoW revival and resurgence, for class balance, for new and exciting things, for fair and balanced PVP, and for a reason to care about anything PVE - but I guess not.

And by the way, why did you wholesale abandon everything good about Shadowlands, like cool changes to abilities via legendaries and also conquest boxes, if you aren’t going to replace it with something equally interesting? I know SL was overall bad, but I feel like TWW is actually a step BACK from that expansion. Delves are just worse, duller versions of Torghast, for example. Are you incapable of keeping the things people like, and removing what they hate, without injecting your own left-field ideas or ruining the point of it all? I’d love to see new powers and modifications to powers like SL, if done right without borrowed power, and I’d love to see challenges like Torghast or some sort of assaults or towers, but instead we get a boring “hero” tree that is mostly passives, a garbage story and zones, and now yet another mechagon island that was previously undiscovered and has magically appeared so that we can wander around it and kill the same skin of the same mob we’ve seen ten billion times to collect another pointless currency to upgrade another artifact. And in your video you seem… excited, proud of this? Huh?

Please, for the love of god, listen to your players, implement what they suggest, and go back through all of the expansions and look at what worked and what didn’t and then just do THAT. Stop trying to reskin the same garbage (only worse and more dull) and sell it to us, because I don’t want it.

We don’t need artifacts or 90 dollar mounts or artifacts or re-hashed content; we need a game that is balanced, and isn’t eye-bleeding boring.

I used to love WoW, but at this point I’m logging in to get conquest cap, then logging out for the week. It’s that bad. Do better, Bliz.

It was never good to begin with. Also youre barking a lot about pvp. Pretty sure when varely make 1400 let alone 1600 your opinions in pvp a

Thank you for your feedback for you are a valued member of the WoW community.

Let me say that I concur that 11.0,7 offers nothing of substance or value currently which is why this patch feels flat so far.

Is this actually borrowed power, or is everyone over-reacting to getting a customizable ring that can last into next season?

I havent tried ptr or looked at it, but people seem to be jumping real fast onto the borrowed power train. Heck does it even give the same buffs that borrorwed power mechanics did? Like ability modifications, cd reductions, etc…?

If its just a ring with good stats that we can use in season 2 im not sure i see the connection to borrowed power. Hell “use in season 2” doesnt even mean “best in slot season 2” we could replace it with a heroic track ring or something.

While I don’t agree with the op, this often repeated point about pvp opinions not mattering from unrated players is absolutely false. There’s a solid contingent of players who simply engage in casual bgs and world pvp and ignoring the opinions of those players is foolish.

I have two accounts (I’m only using this one for the forums since Shadowlands), and I’m 2k on multiple toons, but even if I had 0 rating, my opinions still matter. I pay for this game, I pay for my mounts, WoW tokens, etc. - I pay the salary of the people running this game, just like you and everyone else dedicating money to Blizz. We have a right to our opinions, and our opinions matter. A no-lifer glad’s opinion is no more valuable than a casual who plays once a month, full stop.

As far as Shadowlands, there were many, many good things about it. Was it awful, on the whole? Yes. But Torghast was fun and better than Delves (just implemented wrong) for example, and modifying additional abilities with legendaries was amazing. There were other fun things about SL that I miss sometimes. There is no expansion that is 100% bad. Battle for Azeroth gearing was cancer, for example, but I absolutely loved Horrific Visions and wish they would bring them back, and I actually liked corrupted items with negative effects on them because it made things interesting. Point is: every expansion has pros and cons. Pros of this expansion are a better gearing system (gear scaling in PVP, one set of gear, re-implementation of gems, crafting, and vicious bloodstones, etc.) less grinding and respecting player’s time more (XP catchup for alts, streamlined quests) and so on, but other than those few pros, the rest is low-effort cons, and re-skins and rehashing galore - the most low-effort expac as far as innovation since since Vanilla.

Blizz needs to drop the cancerous attitude you share and start thinking about ALL players of all types, and start actually innovating instead of rehashing the same boring content.

You could of summed this whole post up with “we don’t need more pve content, we need more pvp content”. Bleh. Hard pass.

People call anything they don’t like borrowed power. This is just a customizable ring, similar to the one we got in the Forbidden Reach, or the mechagon trinket. It likely won’t even last until S2.

People cried and whined about it all expansion. It’s the reason why Blizzard got rid of such things altogether in DF and TWW.

Recycled skins wut? Oh no! Pretty sure a lot of us wanted that. I like getting stuff sweatys adore because they thought it was exclusive.

you guys aren’t enjoying bm hunter online?

No.

bm hunter online seems like tedium.

How can you compare it to the Onyx Annulet and then say it won’t last until S2, when the Onyx Annulet had to be nerfed in S2 because players were still favoring it over S2 items?

The Onyx Annulet was originally so busted it would still be used today (by some specs) had it not been nerfed. But i am not talking about power, just function. This ring doesn’t look nearly as good as the annulet. The effects datamined so far looks pretty tame and it also doesn’t seem like it will be possible to create any broken combos either. Because they don’t really interact with each other in the same way the effects on the Annulet did.

There are no “if this proc, this other thing also happens” kind of effects. Just “your abilities have a chance to do X/Y/Z”. Except for maybe the Fathomdweller’s Runed Citrine.

unfortunately, this is wow, not wow2.

I agree it is awful but for different reasons play the quest on island is bad the storm scenario might be fun with more people. So many elites on island that you could chain fight them you have limited flight with rocket pack. Something i thought i never say but it is boring before it is released.

While i wont get into most of what op said, what i will agree with is the rehashed stuff. He is right. We have seen basically nothing but reused garbage for years now. Blizz’s creativity died out a long time ago.

Some people play rated only to gear for casual. Those are still players who subscribe and engage in content. Rating is irrelevant here.

It’s only true because PvP opinions don’t matter no matter how good at PvP the player in question is.
