11.05 and General Enh Feedback

  • Please consider reverting the range changes to molten assault and crash lightning. it was a relatively small QoL change that make both talents feel a lot more fun. we just got it. pls don’t go back on it so fast

  • It’s pretty hard to test DRE right now. it definitely seems bugged or at least not working as intended. i dont know if extra LBs from say prim wave or the new arc discharge are counting for DRE but i would hope so. I did some testing on live and, in general, we do cast SS a little bit more than we cast LB/Tempest. Usually not by a whole lot but it be nice to see the proc rate adjusted accordingly.

  • I really like the idea of Molten Thunder. Giving more interactions with Sundering, imo one of our coolest and the only earth related spell enh has now, is great. but losing the incapacitate just feels like too big of a trade off. Maybe just the procs dont have the incapacitate idk. I want to use it in a single target storm build but i dont know if i can justify the loss of the incap. Also having it proc off of stormstrike seems a bit weird from a fantasy standpoint. I don’t hate it, but I sorta envisioned something like this would come with feral lunge going baseline and i always pictured it as some interaction with our flame spells.

  • The new doomwinds is a great QoL change. Consider taking it off the GCD. Also, while the AOE is a nice little extra, it really doesn’t feel too impactful. They’re changes in the right direction but if it were me, I would’ve consolidated some of the windfury talents, freeing up a talent point to put a new talent under doomwinds. It could be a choice node for AOE vs single target.

  • I dont hate the new mobility options with the stormbringer tree but it would be nice to have some better control over it. enh reeaaally struggles with mobility , so even outside of these changes i think we need a look at. when the talent for gust of wind/spirit walk cdr got removed, it was baked into gust of wind but never into spirit walk. spirit walk should have a 40s cd. Also, i think it be pretty cool if spirit walk and gust of wind were separated similar to earthgrab/windrush. I’ve never really played with gust of wind bc i think spirit walk root break is a must, but it looks really fun and having both options would help our mobility tremendously. Also, windrush or spirit walk need to be a true freedom. Removing snares only to be snared again 0.5s later is useless unfortunately. previous iterations of windrush were true freedoms and i think it would bring it more in line in terms of power for a 2 min cd.

  • the idea of a single target crash lightning sounds great but i think the condition of only hitting one target way too niche. I think it should read “crash only hits one target” buff the dmg, and maybe increase the animation size.

  • havent tested the totemic changes. to be honest, i dont ever see myself dragging a totem around. it does seem to me that blizz favors stormbinger more with the addition of all new lightning related spells with this update (VOLTaic Blaze, Molten THUNDER, new lightning animations to doomwind, etc.) . i’d like to hear some feedback from those who have tested the changes

Enh shouldnt get mobility.

They need to be pruning things from classes so each class can be more unique, not making everyone even MORE the same.

Enh is the closest example to a ‘fair’ and ‘well made’ melee class right now. Its still got enough identity left. If you give it 12 second charge 40 second sprint its just ‘warrior without mortal strike’ like all the rest.

They should do a mass pruning again then play to class’ strengths, let you overcome adversity with what makes you you, not just give everyone the same solution to all the problems.

We literally had 40 sec sprint all last xpac till they removed the cd reduction. Idk what game you’re playing but enhance has some of the worst mobility in the game. The only saving grace is our couple ranged abilities and good msw regen so we can zap and heal with stormreavers. Waddling constantly is not enjoyable.

And originally, Enhancements only mobility was a ghost wolf form. Whats your point? A tiny fraction of the game’s lifespan you had sprint on a slightly lower cooldown, and it was in an expansion that wasnt very good?

If you dont wanna waddle, play a class with mobility. Dont ask for my class to be made exactly the same as all the others.

Frankly, we shouldnt have stuns either. Not every class should have stuns, cc AND interrupts. Not every class should have boatloads of mobility. Kiting SHOULD be part of the game’s PvP. Enh also has a lot of powerful control skills for reaching targets, which is how Enh SHOULD be reaching targets. Not with mobility, but with the abilities they possess. Earthgrab, cap, shocks.

You have this small minded one-solution instant-gratification mentality of someone who has never struggled in their life.

Go climb a small mountain. Learn delayed gratification. Learn the value of different in ability, equal in value.

Im telling you as a friend, you dont want the buffs you are asking for really. Youll turn the class into just another dh/warrior/monk with infinite mobility, no downsides and samey gameplay to everyone else.

If you want a 12 second cd charge and heroic leap, reroll warrior. If you want to play shaman, accept the limits of your class. Just like a warrior should have their own limits different from mobility.

Projecting your own insecurities much?
Sounds like you want a boring pruned version of the game and you’re in luck because classic exists.

So do we not need stuns or is cap one of the abilities we need to reach a target? Which one is it?

Do us a favor, climb a mountain and stay up there. I’m not asking for 12s charges, heroic leaps, etc. I just want them to improve the stuff we already have.

The last time they did major class pruning, it took class design like six years to recover and feel fun to play again. Please never recommend major class pruning again.

We are long past the point of classes needing to be 100% different from each other. Every spec needs mobility to succeed (or anti mobility like DK). Enhance is on outlier on the lower end of the melee spectrum. And it’s not like it would take much to put it where it needs to be. The problem with enhance is it has a lot of mobility tools but they are all very mediocre. A short window for snare immunity would go a very long way.

A mobility skill would be very nice. And melee should have more movement. Wow has always favored range over melee. And even more so with how fast and as much movement there is involved with raids and mythics it can be a struggle to be in melee range the whole time.

If you dont wanto to give mobilty them the ability to hit from slightly father away would be doable. We get wind strikes from ascendance. I could be fun if proccing doom winds gave increased melee range to help while we transition in heavy movement fights.
