That Gouge nerf from 4 > 3 seconds seems really silly when they’re already nerfing the cooldowns of Kidney and Gouge. Gouge is already extremely conditional (have to hit them from the front, have to be in melee range, can’t use while disarmed, can be dodged/parried and is literally impossible to apply to a target with one of those things active, unlike stuns like Kidney that can be used from behind to bypass). Casters complain about micro CC piling onto interrupts, but we’re getting dangerously close to casters having way more limited counterplay when we buff the rewards for fake casting with Precog, nerf interrupt durations, nerf micro CC durations/cooldowns, gut extended melee range across the board, and refuse to touch the duration on cooldownless spammable CC like Cyclone, Fear, and Poly, all of which are easily set up into by instant cast CC (Bash, Mortal Coil, DB). DFS3/4 after the CC reworks were some of the first seasons in ages where rogues weren’t absolutely dominant, and I think that was a great direction for the game to take. But I feel like this is starting to dogpile on rogues even more when casters have already been starting to emerge as significantly stronger.
What are you talking about? The new character selection screen is probably one of the biggest wins they’ve had recently
Apparently it’s rough for altoholics, or perhaps players who have the same character name across various realms. Like 20 paladins across 20 realms with the same name…
Every Paladin player: “Wow, that nerf would have upset me if I actually ever used that talent to begin with!”
Well, they literally never fixed Chromie time to 61 when it arrived broken on the day it was patched in, so my money is on that they never fix it.
Won’t Chromie time automatically raise to 70 once the level cap is 80?
You would think so
Oh look at all those BM hunter nerfs. Surely this wont backfire and we’ll be in last place again by a good margin, to where we’re gonna need aura buffs to everything again. :')
Actually, the correct statement would have been: “Wait, Justicar’s Vengeance is still a Talent?”
Working as intended
Just enjoy the roller coaster.
People fretting about balance in the prepatch happens every prepatch. The current dps rankings at 80 look very different than the dps rankings now - with 2 warlock specs close to the top at 80 but close to the lowest now.
Some classes get a lot of additional dps from hero talents, others not so much.
These changes went through on beta a while ago. I think the reason for some delay was bugs - which is a big issue leading into release.

I think the vast majority of us are concerned about still existing bugs or broken talents. They’re pushing the beta build to pre-patch on Tuesday and it’s going to be a disaster. There are so many spec breaking bugs, it seems highly unlikely the xpac will be ready on launch day.

Which is what I said - bugs are the issue at this point - not balance. Balance will be an issue at 80 for the first few weeks of the expansion.
Still no fix for the pre patch event exp bug or the pathetically low ilvl gear it drops for alts you’re leveling. I shouldn’t be getting gear that’s 150 ilvls lower than what I can wear.
There is no live or beta. There are only multiple versions of alpha.
So, they decreased cat weaving damage for resto druids. But… did they give moonkin back? So still cat weaving is the assumed preferred form but still nerfed with no alternative?
So is healer damage supposed to just be utter garbage like it is currently? Or is that just a “pre-patch” thing?
Greattttttttt just what i wanted!
