Heck yeah, more daddy bears for GD players to enjoy.
That one part of Stormpeaks, where Youâre with the Blue-Vrykul Chicks! Have to say I love that questline infinitely and have wanted to play one of those Epic Bear-Riding Warrior-Ladies for a long while!
Iâll settle for Vrykul though! Blizz has shown them in all sorts of outfits with all sorts of customization options! Why not?
Why yes, listening to people cry about how every allied race except vulpera shouldâve been new customizations and how we shouldâve instead gotten a bunch of trash mob races that even fewer people would play does get tiring. Meanwhile, some people have expressed support for Wildhammer dwarves and Dragonmaw orcs becoming their own races and bitterness over the former being demoted to cosmetics for Ironforge dwarves.
Because thatâs their lore. It doesnât disqualify vrykul from being added as their own race in the same way that Kul Tirans werenât disqualified from being an allied race just because theyâre another race of humans.
Itâs absolutely not. Theyâre not the same race. As I said, humans evolved into their own race in the same way that the various species of elves did, so itâs just wrong to say that humans and vrykul are still the same thing when the two are genetically several thousand years apart. To suggest that a race that people have been requesting since WotLK would be perfect as a cosmetic option for an existing race that it only shares ancestry with is just willful ignorance, and if you believe the âBody Type 1 and 2 = Body Type 3 and 4 in the futureâ conspiracy theory, youâre most likely setting yourself up for disappointment.
Again, when people asked for vrykul to be playable in the past, they didnât ask to play as one whose nameplate still reads âHumanâ, who still has human racials, one of which is straight-up named The Human Spirit, and who either starts off in Elwynn or has to kill the captive human during the core race DK prologue.
Do you see any humans hosting raiding parties or raising proto-drakes the way vrykul do? Also compare the vrykul architecture in Northrend and the Broken Isles to what modern humans have going on. Next to nothing about vrykul culture meshes with human culture, which they would be forced into if they were just something human characters could choose to look like during character creation.
This constant talk about ârace slotsâ that I keep seeing needs to go and stay gone. Blizzard can add as many races as they want, adding one doesnât reduce the chances of them adding another. Vrykul would actually be pretty easy to make playable because, as Iâve said before, thereâs not a lot holding them back. They could literally just fix their animations and scaling in a fortnight, write some new lore for why theyâre joining one or both factions, make a small starting zone for them, and add the race in a major patch because most of the groundwork for them is already laid.
Theyâre 15,000 years divorced. Humans evolved into their own race. Look at nightborne, who are night elves who evolved into a different race through the power of the Nightwell, but the two are playable as separate races instead of the former just being two new body types for the latter.
Good gods no more allied races
like the tuskars, even that was a better selection than these lizard wings false dragons races that are the Drakcthyr and their disgusting evoker one class.
no please no, no more dragon stuff it already feels like a theme park at this point.
i donât want any more dragon stuff and i donât want over grown humans either.
Ah!, you like muscular humans, you are very Rogue.
Edit: sorry if it was like a joke
dude, donât twist my words.
that ainât ok⊠i never said that at allâŠ
i rather we have something else
The entire appeal of the Vrykrul is that theyre giant vikings. If you shrink them down, theyâre just human hardware running orc software.
Next exp will be ethereals for alliance.
As for horse, my money is on ogres.
But weâll be going to Karesh so alliance will for sure get ethereals.
you imagine the customization of an ethereal, I think you will wrong, mate
I do and itâs awesome.
Hereâs an example someone made for a fan expansion concept
They could, but they donât. Hence the talk about using a new race slot for something that isnât yet another flavor of human. Not even a substantially âdifferentâ human but just a more burly human with coarser features and nice cosmetic options.
Itâs ludicrous to use a limited race slot for something that could be provided as simple cosmetic options for existing races. All the arguments about humans evolving from Vrykul aside (even though the so-called stunted Vrykul just appeared within one generation) the fact of the matter is that Blizzard is very stingy when it comes to adding new races to the game. Using one of those slots for something that could simply be a cosmetic option on an existing race instead of something truly unique would be a waste imo.
Iâm all for them giving people the option to have vrykul in the game, I just donât think that an entire new race slot should be used to do it. Save new race slots for unique and new races.
But those are sketches of a trolling fanarts unlike the effort that the wowhead website develops to make the vrykuls and other races playable, the wowhead website is a company Who doesnât do things to waste time trolling
What?
That not a troll attemptâŠ
Itâs a legit detailed fan concept
Hereâs more art of ethereals
If a fan can do that imagine what blizz can do.
I support this. Make them roughly the same height as a Tauren or Zandalari.
Vrykul for the Alliance and Ogres for the Horde.
Why shrink? Give them a crouch button to get through doors!
