11.0 ideas?

I know, 10.0 isn’t out yet, but I have been wondering what happens next or where can we go from here?

Wow has exhausted everything set in motion by Warcraft 3 and the past few expansions have done the lore and story a disservice by killing off the big bads in a single patch (cough Nialotha and Nzoth).

Will we get the light vs void expac next?

Who knows, but I really hope 10.0 - 10.X actually puts in motion some events that can be built upon in future content vs the old formula of one and done and plot armor ensures the players are victorious at every turn.

Having us struggle or not be able to simple over-power the enemy at the end of the expansion would be a nice breathe of fresh air and could setup some great story development.

Thoughts?

no to light and void for me, we kind of had that type of stuff the last few expacs no need to ramp it up to 11, i just want to enjoy Azeroth for a while.

I mean, even the most recent expansions were basically just expanding upon previous expansions.

Legion - TBC 2.0
BFA - Vanilla 2.0
Shadowlands - Wrath 2.0
DF - Cataclysm 2.0

They just took previous work, and started expanding on those stories. Maybe the next one is Pandaland 2.0? :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe a Turalyon/Yrel Light Crusades. They have been setting it up for a while.

We’re supposedly in all new territory now as the old ‘chapter’ has been closed. Anything could happen now. A big bad could pop up that makes the void, the jailer, and sargeras all look like a walk in the park by comparison.

Or Blizzard could turn this game into a disney theme park with no new villains and we all hold hands and sing happy songs together… I mean who knows. But they can definitely go just about anywhere they want.

Something…something…Tinker

I am prepared to be disappointed.

Now that death is basically meaningless, I’m not sure it really matters lol.

Nice job, Blizzard.

We haven’t explored the Life Pantheon yet…

We’ve had: multiple Light/Fel/Void expansions, and we’ve explored the pantheons of Death and Order… all that’s left is to see the realms of Life and see the Void/Light in their own realms.

I’d wager the next expansion will somehow revolve around Life.

I can see Legion being BC 2.0, but the connections to the others are pretty tenuous.

Why though? :joy: I’m not saying they’re exact facsimiles, but more so expansions that served to, well, expand on previous iterations.

Vanilla: Horde vs Alliance focus where we killed an old god. That’s basically BFA, until the very end lol.
Wrath: Dealt with the undead as a result of The Lich King, climbed Icecrown, and killed Arthas. SL has us handle the rest.
Cataclysm: Dragons, aspects, Neltharion/Deathwing. DF focuses on a creation of Nel’s, as well as the aspects’ respective clutch.

Not really a stretch by any means

Df is completely inspired by mop, so there is a correlation there.

It’ll be Vulperaland :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’m hungry and only slept for 2 hours so I’m feeling particularly nasty today.
Next expansion will be a Sesame Street rip off. I will manifest this until I eat.

Hopefully whatever it is includes a Black Empire 3rd faction with all new voidy themed races along with insectoids and Naga.

Hmm I’ll allow it if we get some sort of Big Bird Mount

But you should eat :joy:

Multiverse of Zereth Madness
Zereths of other realms creep in.

Or

Elune shows her form and we head into more void territory 'cause lets face it, light vs void is where the big conflict is heading.

Even if I won’t be playing, I’d love to see Azeroth manifest as an avatar and we work with her to build an army to fight the void in future battles.

I think 11.0 would be a good time for the much-needed EK and Kalimdor revamp.

All zones for both continents would be remastered, with leveling quests being made timeless once again (no more perma-cataclysm! yay!). Some zones would get max level phases, and this is where the bulk of the expansion’s content would play out.

All the Horde and Alliance cities get a remaster too, and missing utilities are added so if you wanna spend most of your city time in Ironforge, Thunder Bluff, Silvermoon, The Exodar, etc you can.

That would make me much happier than chasing ever-bigger baddies.

I hope not.

WoW needs to walk it back to simple adventuring in a normal world again.

Somehow Arthas will come back.
