I thought for some reason the Hearthstone’s you can buy for 750 Anima from being lvl 11 Renown was another hearth stone to your covenant. So I went and set my (regular) hearth to Oribis… What to my surprise all 3 of my hearthers are set to Oribis now. WTH. Was it intended to be this way?

The Covenant Hearthstones are merely an animation effect, they are not separate hearthstones.

Yeah I fell for it too. I thought it was gonna be like a Dalaran hearthstone. I mean it’s my fault for not doing the research, but that’s anima spent that I could have used for other stuff.

This is correct. The same premise was set with the toy you get for preordering the fancy version of the expansion. Hearth stone toys have always just been a replacement for the actual hearthstone with new effects. Same deal with holiday hearthstones.

When I initially saw it I was hoping that it was like the garrison hearthstone and legion dalaran hearthstone but thankfully realized before wasting the anima that it was merely a toy to use in place of our regular one unfortunately.

I was excited when i seen it pop up that one was now available. To bad it’s just a stupid toy not worth 2 copper let alone 750 anima.
I’ve been saying this for weeks. It’s just like the Winter Veil, Eternal Travelers, etc… Hearthstones. When you upgrade your travel network to level 3 only then do you get a portal to Oribos.
But no portal back. Because… I don’t know. Have fun!

tried explaining this earlier in the week to someone who was excitedly saving up for their “second hearth”.
when we told them it wasn’t a second hearth, and was simply a replacement for their regular hearth, we were called names and got put on ignore.
no research is needed… it says it right on the item.

Garrison and Legion Dalaran Hearthstones were the exception not the rule.
Seems like a lot of people are getting confused by this.

As soon as I saw it was not a hearth to another location than my main hearthstone I sold it back to the rep vendor.
I mean, as an engineer I have toys from previous that do useful stuff. Like teleporters to northrend and other places, or even just Blingtron and such. Not all toys are vanity items like you say.
They REALLY want people to flight path everywhere this x pac huh?
No flying, no special hearthstone, no flight whistle, all inter-zone flights connected through Oribos…

I did this too… thankfully I wasted my ALT’s anima not one of my mains… I just figured if the reward was good enough to be listed on the renown rewards tab… it would be something worthwhile but SILLY ME
