You fail miserably on a consistent basis to listen to your player base and take feedback from them to improve your game. You deliberately time gate stuff and hang onto this RNG system that so many players hate. This patch was supposed to fix the major issues people were having with BFA but instead you put a band-aid on a gunshot wound…
Nothing is fixed. We get a new warfront (which drops same ilvl of gear as prior one) for new content and a few sets of racial armor quests. No new dungeons, no new raid, nothing really worth hanging onto. Oh and we get a couple new islands… Woopdie doo
As a PvPer there is nothing left for me to stick around for to be honest. This random reward system from BGs is tragic. We have no vendors and are forced to depend on RNG for gear.
Sorry if this came off like an angry rant but I am severely disappointed in the direction this company is headed and don’t really care to support it anymore.
Would it really hurt them to add 350 gear for the new warfront instead of 340 still. Awful move from them. We agree with you. 7 weeks until the next raid is also unacceptable. That’s a long time between raids.
Yea exactly bud. I’m just super unsatisfied with the direction they are taking this game. Mostly the RNGfest that has been going on since WoD.
Literally the only thing I log on to do is play on my 111-119 toons and PvP. That is the only fun I’m having in this game ATM but its definitely not worth subbing for.
BFA is what I call comic book style, everything is presented in boxed colorful format, there is no other path. It’s amusement park ride rails on wow ride! And the kiddies love it because it doesn’t require much thought or planning. Ground hogging day everyday!
Well, yes, it would hurt, as one would be a ghost-town. Warfronts are on equal footing, it is not progression from Arathi to Darkshore, like one raid to the next is.
People already complain enough that warfront gear is welfare gear. A 15-20 min scenario shouldn’t be the game’s primary or most popular way to gear up.
We agree with you.
We? Did all the voices in your head have a gathering to vote? Was punch and pie served?
I’m barely playing anymore - maybe 30 minutes a day, but most days not at all. There’s nothing enticing here. But if we call for change at the highest echelons of the development team, we get banned from the forums. It’s a cute trick: silence anyone who expects heads to roll for failure; said heads remain.
Dear Rexxigar, I commend you for standing up and pulling out from the game. You are much braver than I who have been subbed on and off since 2006, subbed since launch of BFA and haven’t stopped. I probably won’t stop because I’m a sucker. /moo
There’s no bridge of communication between the game developers and the game players. This is disheartening and it hurts the game experience. I doubt the game developers are deeply involved with BFA because if they were, they’d immediately be able to pin point the problems and therefore tend to them. Class fantasy and game play is not fulfilling. Every specialization is relatively the same, it seems to me. The game would be much better off if they truly DID listen and enjoy the community’s feedback - but it’s obvious that they don’t. The removal of the Feedback and Suggestions part of the forum does an incredible disservice to both the community and the game.
I love that you have made some seriously great points when it comes to the falls of the company. Blizzard seems to have a game making philosophy that is draining from both their game and their pockets. They spread out what could be a giant patch of content nice and thin which keeps players consistently begging for more. The begging has grown to such a degree that people are no longer engaged. People leave because they’re tired from chasing a carrot that doesn’t even taste good.
Blizzard hopes they can copy and paste game systems from Legion, drain the class fantasy and paint it all a different color to make even more money. It’s not working. The seeming assembly line that’s pumping out mediocre content is not making players happy - the re-skinning, the time gating, the RNG. It all makes for an empty game experience. How can a player care for the content when Blizzard pumps it all out in a fashion designed for it to be replaced immediately by the next best thing?
At the end of the day, I pray to the gaming gods that Blizzard does get well soon. They’ve been exponentially better in the past. I love WOW, I’ve enjoyed BFA, but there are serious problems that need fixing and in a hurry; otherwise we will continue on the same road and lose more of this wonderful community along the way, and that makes me sad.
Yeeeah 14 days left on mine. Unless 8.1.5 gets here quick quick, and brings the two allied races we’ve been waiting for with it at the very least, then chances are I won’t sub again until Blizz gets it in gear. Gating something like that for this long was a bad idea for how over hyped it was, but to gate it during the Christmas break, when people like me have a ton of time on my hads, and nowhere to go, that’s even worse lol. I don’t want to grind brain dead content like war fronts and expeditions.
I always love reading your replies on this topic. You word it so much better than I can. It is a shame how disconnected Blizzard seems to be with their fan base. I hate how this game has turned into an RNG grind.
The simple fix would be to give players their vendors back so we can target gear again. As I am currently playing the game to PvP (random BGs) I hate that I cannot grind out honor points and target pieces of gear like I used to. Instead I’m forced to “get lucky” on an RNG drop and hopefully it will titanforge. Or grind out BGs for like 20 conques per win? Yes I realize I can arena to speed up the process or even do RBGs but there is hardly a reward for the person who likes to do Random BGs.
Sadly thats just one of the many problems facing this game at the moment.
Yes my friend, the game would be exponentially better if both PVE and PVP had useful gear vendors - not just Azerite gear vendors. Although I’m glad to see Blizzard to reintroduce vendors to the game, it’s only a step into the right direction. BFA still needs more than that. Improvement is better than working backwards or stagnating so credit is due there. Yet there is plenty of room for improvement. /moo
You’re replying to a comment of mine made to someone else. Unless that person is also you, bouncing around on alts to whip up imagined hysteria. Which would hardly be surprising.
Like I said, grow up kid. If the only reason you’re in a forum is to start drama with people then you must lead a sad existence. Grown ups are talking bud. See your way out.
For all you know he/she is also referring to their-self and friends.
I will not dispute this at all. Classes have taken a turn for the worse. You are 100% correct. I’m merely stating the lack of content does not help their cause.
The problem is lack of engaging content and unique class design. The game has became way too simplistic.
