Why would gnolls join the Horde? All we’ve ever done is kill them, and there’s never even been any gnoll lore or interaction in the game.

gnolls are one of the only organic “bad guys” in the game…i don’t think they fit our two factions of heroes and nobles…
nothing is manipulating them…they just skin your face and use it for furniture…for the heck of it! 
anyway, I like that there are other factions in the game that exclude the horde/alliance (twilight’s hammer, burning legion, etc.). We have enough of the furry races! let’s get some monsters & dryads!
I thought about the transmog complications with dryads (or centaurs) and immediately noped out.

I think there’s work arounds for it, but I’ll save that for its own theorycrafting thread. Visage/shapeshifts would have to be worked in a quadruped race
i’d like to see them expand into unique races like that though…the dragonkins should have had those 4 legged creatures from war3 - BWL imo (as a tank spec!)
As long as the Alliance exists, that won’t be a focus, since Alliance players only play humans or elves.
(Unless they’re cheesing stoneform.)

i still love the sapper voice lines from warcraft 2-warcraft 3!
my favorite NPC in the game is also a goblin flightmaster in Draenor Nagrand. They’re def an amazing race!

they removed some of them…i think blizz thinks they’re a bit too…tabu for 2023…literally destroyed a masterpiece with that game

If we keep recognizing our sworn enemies as sapient beings deserving of respect and harboring the capacity for playability by a user then who is it okay to kill on sight? Anyone?!!? dang it. doesn’t that make us all evil blood thirsty tyrants to the murloc races?
From an anthropomorphological perspective I think the divide is between established written systems / records keeping and oral tradition. They just don’t give out their new recruits those sigils like early quest givers to help you find your class hall so they’re forbidden.
This also explains why all ambassador races have to start at level 10, they probably have to go through the education system first.

Dude, about 80% of all races in Azeroth are furry race. Sad but true!
