10.2.7 Quest: The Path Taken

Large number of players trying to kill limited number of mobs, tapped and killed before they can be targeted, due to many classes just spamming AoE abilities. Highly unlikely to complete the quest without getting very lucky three times.

Consider re-tooling so that people can complete and move on?

Still learning not much I see :dracthyr_crylaugh:

I can’t believe this didn’t come up in testing. Seriously Blizz-Microsoft… seriously? I had to log out I couldn’t do the dang quest.

Short lived problem that will sort itself in a few hours. Perhaps consider not trying to do everything the second the servers open.

2008 called. They’d like their quest design back.

This is ridiculous.

So weird that people want to do new content! Rather than blaming us for this, why not make the quest mobs shareable? This is the worst of old WoW.

FWIW, I intended to post this on the Bug Report forum, and somehow ended up doing it in General. I’ve created an identical Bug Report topic, but by now I’m sure they know what’s up.

So weird that people keep assuming they can get stuff done when a few 1000 people all log into their server to do the same exact thing. So weird that the same thing has happened ever single patch. So weird no one learns.

Can’t learn something when the old devs that learned had already left and were replaced by someone that works for cheaper, lol.

People think the same devs are working at Blizzard as was 10 years ago, no, it’s almost entirely new people. Very few of the old staff, the talent folks, are still around.

AAA-gaming as a whole is turning into trash.

Indie games are gaining popularity, E3 is dead, etc.

The industry is digging its own grave. Rushed games are the norm.

I love the bootlickers blaming us for doing new content too early rather than blaming Blizzard for not making the effing mobs tag-agnostic, like they’ve done with every other quest mob in Dragonflight. Geez people, this isn’t hard.

Haha came here to see if people were already making posts about it, I won’t add to it other than this comment but I plan to just wait until they patch this, given I just don’t have the time or patience to spam AoE abilities endlessly in the small chance I actually get a tag.

And how do you observe the memories

This is absolute BS. I don’t pay to play this game to be unable to get through a simple quest because you made the stupid decision to bring back faction tagging. Fix this!

It’s not faction but volume, the way mobs work is that no more than five players can tag a mob at a time. So what’s happening is 5 players at a time are getting their AoE off right before you do, or it counting against the mob before yours does and is graying it out. They need to make the mobs to where any number of players can tag it, along with buffing their health a bit as they also get insta killed too.

I have no choice but to hearth out, after alliance tags the mobs, doesn’t even matter that I get a hit in, the quest doesn’t update and I can’t do the quest.Z

I would say I’m surprised but I’m not at the quest design…peak blizzard. Microsoft needs to clean house.

It’s both. It’s also faction tagged.

That is not the point. The point is there should be enough to go around not this you can’t play because someone else is. Give your head a shake.

Witness the memories of frustrations long past.
Confront the void of quest mobs that you must kill.

Well, at least it’s in theme.
