10.2.7 - I Do Not Want 3-4 Month of the Same Old Raids

OK, without a doubt this is my own personal opinion.

But I really dont feel like doing 3 to 4 more months of the last 3 raids we just completed. This has nothing to do with their design being good or bad. I am simply just bored of them.

Talking to a couple of my raiding friends and they are not thrilled either. Now I am not saying everyone feels this way and we could be a minority to keep things fair. But couldnt we just get a raid from a much older expansion instead. Re-runs are nice when you havent watched them in a number of years. But we just did these 3 and I personally have no desire to do them again.

Anyone else feel this way?

At this point, I’m partially convinced that Fated raids are only there so that guilds get a final opportunity to sell carries for the large number of players who have no interest in spending 4-5 hours trying to pug each raid they’ve never done before because they just want the inevitable FOMO mount that comes with the meta achieve like the slime kitty during SL.

Other games do exist.

I plan on putzing around with guildies in low keys, as usual. And then playing Palia.

Lulls used to be a lot longer, so a few months is nothing to me. lol

The only thing that has us interested is hope that the timewalking event has all the MoP dungeons available as mythic plus.

I do wonder, if they have the technology to do fated raids now, why they don’t just make an appropriately themed old raid to make fated.

Like bastion of twilight would fit thematically with dragonflight, or even dragon soul.

I’m more curious about any open world content or story that will come with the patch. See what kind of events pop up.

Fated is a great opportunity to take the foot off the gas and just enjoy doing whatever in the twilight season of the expansion. Raid it, dont raid it, doesn’t really make a difference.

I think because I was conditioned to the idea of it in Shadowlands (my first expac) I don’t personally feel much objection to it.

I’m looking forward to maybe a ilvl boost to Fyra’lath and being able to use a variety of different raid trinkets. I swapped from Bear to BM to Monk to now DK and Warlock so a chance to see those old raids from a new perspective.

Gonna KSM in S4 then honestly just mess around till TWW.

That’s what Timewalking is for.

If the timewalking raid was available in heroic and offered 10.2.7 tier. Then yea… Otherwise NO.

Oh hell yes!

OH HELL NO

i would definitely agree with this 100%

well thats uhm unfortunate because the devs arent budging so…

well the devs will see when sub numbers drop, then perhaps they wont do this again in the future.

Yea no doubt. Even if they felt the same today, it’s too late in the development cycle.

I just want that caterpillar mount for Fated season.

I am hoping they add a huge gold sink mount to keep the token under 300k at least.

I enjoyed the Shadowlands Fated Raids. It was nice to switch it up every few weeks, and have gear from all the raids sort of equalized in ilvl.

I am looking forward to it. It is better than nothing during the lull - which was what happened most expacs.

Yeah I would rather have fated raids instead of doing the same raid for close to a year, maybe even more.

Plus it is fun to meme around with different gear combinations. Having both Gavel and Jaithys in shadowlands S4 was kinda funny.
