(10/25/24) "An Overlook Too Far: Horde Operation Fails in Tol Barad"

In the most ambitious display of Hordish power seen, a series of royalist counteroffensives routed and destroyed most of the Hordish forces before the Firelands expedition were to take place at the Molten Front.

The Irønwolf Clan and its commanders immediately lost control of the operation after a turncoat Mage disobeyed orders to “bloodlust” the army, which left the Horde vulnerable to the “heroism” of the royalists. The royalists were at this point battle-hardened veterans who have successfully defeated the Horde in battle though with less-than-average combat efficiency. The Jackal of Stormwind’s elite airborne rangers took heavy casualties at the Overlook, and despite this, valiantly did the most damage with traps, firepower, and explosive ordinance which surpassed all other units. The sudden shock loss of the JoS unit began to cause desertions among the Hordish ranks.

Garrosh Hellscream is to establish a tribunal to punish the Horde for misconduct during the infamous “Oct. 25” operation, with sentences of capital punishment, years of mining labor, or estate forfeitures depending on severity. It has been reported that the Jackal of Stormwind organization’s Hordish wing has been recognized for exceptional bravery in its service in the Tol Barad theater, and that Hellscream will award the “Cross of the Iron Horde” to the guild.

The Irønwolf Clan would be subpoenaed to answer for the operation’s failure before the Hellscream tribunal.
