Flying in those areas won’t be until the Midnight expac. So about three years from now.

I doubt they would put in the work to rebuild the zones for flight when they’re going to rebuild them again in Midnight.

nah it wont ever be normal flying in those areas.
midnight will remake the zones so there will be a midnight phase and a leveling phase
They already talked about it in post Blizzcon interviews. They said it’s safe to assume the areas are getting redone with flying also added.

We still have the Dead Scar and half the city in ruins. You’d think after nearly two decades, it would be rebuilt? Stormwind and Orgrimmar have been rebuilt.

I’m so ready for it, I will spend more time in those zones than I do just well hanging out honestly and that’s exciting.

We have no idea how they’ll do it. For that we have to wait.
Probably wont see flying in any of the Blood elf zones and Draenei zones without some kind of update. I know the blood elf zones have a lot of mess going on behind the walls.
Probably be attached to the current world seeing how those starting areas are a part of outland which is why they are instanced and not apart of the rest of the continent
They will end up looking worse after a rebuild.
I could see the new Night Elf city and maybe Gilneas getting an update, but it’s plausible to say that none of this will happen until Midnight.

If you added flying right now this is the sort of things you’d be able to see, and not much else to be honest. I’m not even sure if Quel’Danas and Eversong Woods exist on the same instanced map. They might but it’s been so long I can’t remember properly. So… they’d have to essentially fix that as well since if you added flying to those zones you’d expect to be able to fly out there.
Might be possible right now but like I said, can’t remember.

Yeah, Silvermoon is built like a backlot movie set. There was a bug once that actually did let you fly around in it.

They’ve pretty much closed it all off, but in the days when you could wall jump, it was indeed a real unfinished mess. Looked like a theatre prop rather than a real city.

I know they eversong and Ghostlands are on Outland map so it wouldnt suprise me if it was as well
Im honestly hopeful for what we will see with the revamp to that area in Midnight. Eversong woods was one of my first starting experiences of wow and honestly love the golden fall shading. The scar has to be healed, at least in some way.
