Accidently deleted my last post.
There is apparently an endgame-like portal cutscene where many notable characters appear.
“Many interesting pairings are seen such as Chromie and Eternus, Chen Stormstout/Rokhan/Rexxar, Turalyon and Velen, all remaining Dracthyr Scalecommanders, Wrathion and Sabellian, all the leaders of the Maruuk Centaur, Iskaara Tuskarr and the Loamm Niffen, among others.”
They are pulling in Tuskarr and Niffen… and yet Malfurion has to miss out…?

He unfortunately is in Ardenweald due to the swap with Ysera.
I am very excited to see what other characters show up though, I did not expect so many.
Sadly we only get one… now flip a coin…

We will be using a coin provided by the very upstanding Harvey Dent. Mr Dent will be flipping and congratulations Ysera, Malfurion you can go back to napping.
The Harvey providing the Coin is the one from before having acid burn his face of so the Coin’s obviously double-headed.
I wonder if Baine will also show up with Rexxar, Rokhan, and Chen. Meanwhile I’m rather surprised that Turalyon and Velen are making an appearance.
We couldn’t find a place for Malfurion in the Emerald Dream patch, but obviously Turalyon should be here for it.
Also on a less sarcastic note, I believe that Prophet of the Flame you fight is an NPC who appeared in the Molten Front back in 4.2 - he would periodically show up on a ledge and transform into a Firelands boss, which I believe he does in the fight with him here.

I know they outright mentioned faction leaders like Rokhan, Turalyon, and Velen, but I can’t help but wonder if all of them actually make an appearance or just a group of them.
The Night Fae are present in the zone which means travel to and from Ardenweald to Amirdrassil is possible. There’s really no reason he shouldn’t be here.

Is that a dream come true, a monk appearing to help save the day?
Baine and Mayla seem a safe bet aince theyve been in the files for a while. We know Jaina and Thrall are there but wowhead doesnt list them, so odds are theres quite a few people coming.
Id love it if just egery racial leader was there.
Sure why not. Blizz treats him as though he’s the only monk on the planet. He’s like the Tony Hawk of monks.
At least they remembered Turaylon is still around.
As a monk main I take what I can get, they are at least remembering monks exist.

Malfurion took up Ysera’s bond to Ardenweald.
Malfurion is bonded to Ardenweald on a scale that no other denizen of Ardenweald is. He and Ardenweald are one therefore he cannot leave it like the natives can.
Of course the Emerald Dream is the Blueprint of all Worlds and Nymue is dead so she can’t give orders to the Dream so all one has to do is order the Dream to grant unrestrained access to Ardenweald’s Blueprint from Amirdrassil.
