10.2 Beast Mastery Stat Priority

Beast Mastery

(2) Set Bonus: Bestial Wrath summons a Dire Beast for 15 seconds.

(4) Set Bonus: Dire Beasts now obey your Kill Command and can gain Beast Cleave.

Is BM going to need Mastery as it prime stat, and Haste, Crit as it’s secondary?

Just going to be a case of sim yourself on raidbots as per usual.

This comes later. I am was thinking if BM will be focused on summoning pets then Mastery might take priority over haste or crit.

Haste and Crit are priority for Frenzy stacks. However, with the new Savagery talent increasing Barbed Shot by 2 seconds, Haste might become slightly less important.

My guess is the new stat priority will be Crit/Mastery > Haste > Versatility. Obviously, simming will be most important, but if Savagery becomes a default talent, we won’t have to worry as much about making sure Haste is above 25%.

Most of this will not be has impact until we have the full tier set, but it just theories if stats will be changing.

Barbed Shot DoT duration is not the same thing as Frenzy pet buff duration. I haven’t been on the PTR but the notes don’t say it is also increasing Frenzy’s duration.

When you spec into Savagery on PTR, the Barbed Shot tooltip updates Frenzy from 8 sec to 10 sec. Unless it changes before release, I think it’s safe to assume Savagery makes Frenzy a 10 sec buff.

Thrill of the Hunt, on the other hand, stays at 8 seconds. I’m guessing that is likely an oversight and will be changed to 10 sec with Savagery, but who knows.

if they don’t update TOTH to also be extended to match the frenzy extension then secondary stats likely won’t change. If anything it will be even more punishing to drop your TOTH stacks as it will take longer to restack.

TOTH extension and wild call beasts inheritting the current beast cleave buff are the two quality of life things i really want to see in the next ptr build.
