Will be interesting to see what happens.
Hope this is true but Im guessing wont happen and needs to happen way before 10.1.7 lol.
In my opinion, MM does not need a full rework. It needs trick shots to be uncapped and huge survivability buffs. The rotations are fun and good.
MM is fun until you have to stop using surging shots.
MM without surging shots is a SLOG to play, and im an MM nerd.
Hmm, because that’s too bad that Haste does NOTHING to reduce the RFire cooldown. I wonder how that got overlooked. Because if we could shave off precious seconds that way, we could CRAM more of those even outside TShot windows. And within TShot, it could be constant RFire the whole way through like an autocannon lol.
I like your ideas and design, you should be proud of them. Obviously some talents can still be criticized / adjusted, but on the whole this is a well laid out tree and I think I’d be happy to see this in game.
One personal addition I’d like to see is [Mending Bandage] be moved from a pvp talent to the class tree to give hunters a friendly dispel. Hunters having a triage/bleed removal is thematic, would be useful in both raid/m+, semi-unique (evokers/pallys are the only other bleed removal), and not game breaking as far as I can see.
Aspect of the Chameleon is a neat take on the buffs. I always hear people (myself included) put that concept on different pet families, but the aspect take would definitely help with MM lone wolf.
All around A+. I’d love to see more creative solution to hunters like this instead of the usual complaining/bickering
This tree wasn’t developed with MM in mind throughout it. For example MM starting with concussive shot and BM/SV starting with Alpha predator is not even close to good. Overall design creates more problems than it solves for MM. Chameleon is not a good talent as it requires attuning to aspects and its too strong.
Any rework that doesn’t include wild spirits or resonating arrow is a non-starter for any MM hunter. Also pod tender is not the answer a better option would be Turtle guard. Once every 10 minutes an attack that would bring you below 1, grants you 3 seconds of aspect of the turtle. Plus mobility…
Kill shot should be baseline, but kill command should be where alpha predator is on your list and alpha predator needs to be on the bottom portion. Kill command is not a class ability because only 2 specs use it, however kill shot is a class ability therefore it should be baseline.
I would give our current class tree a 4/10 and this tree also a 4/10. It was a good attempt though.
Final notes: No class tree will ever work as long as MM has Lone Wolf. Until that happens then making changes to the class tree will always favor BM/SV.
Wut? Name one problem this design created.
This is crying toddler logic. “If there aren’t 3 pink sprinkles on the ice cream, I don’t want it”
This is either 4/10 level trolling or cluelessness.
Your logic of having no pet-themed talents in the class tree because marksmans have lone wolf is just goofy.
They need to address focus for MM, don’t care how, but if I could get one thing from Blizzard it would be improve MM focus regen., sucks to have to use steady shot because focus starved.
Translation: our AOE needs to be sufficient for PvE endgame. So he would have a point, but strong ST and MT damage is going to red flag this class/spec.
Also, I thought that pet utility and petlessness were mere electives for the Marksman. It would only be a problem if Blizzard forced MM to go with a pet or to go petless.
This is not an MM rework so I’m guessing you replied before watching any of it. This class tree rework includes survivability buffs.
latest MM single target build doesn’t even use the talent that steady shot regens focus. so yeah that’s kinda a weird take
thanks man. I agree mending bandage is cool.
The take of different pet families having the buffs rather than my ‘chameleon’ solution is how it used to be but I think in general Hunters want less restrictions on what pet they are using because they prefer to chose a pet based on it’s look rather than it’s function.
not me personally but it seems the average hunter just wants to use the pet that matches their transmog.
Thanks for the A+ ima show my folks and they take me for icecream
It should generate Focus on its own without the talent, but it’s still a Focus free ability to cast while Focus regens passively. But ideally Steadies should not be looked at much in the core rotation as there is too many other abilities to use. TShot uptime helps immensely on Focus issues…
No other class in the game has half their class tree excluded because of the design of their spec. In any rework this will need to be addressed in some form or fashion. The intent of these new trees was to add flexibility, but it has created the opposite for MM hunters.
To translate,
“If half of the class tree is reliant on having an active pet, a Marksmanship Hunter suddenly can’t benefit from half of their class tree if they opt into Lone Wolf.”
One does not simply opt into Lone Wolf. In other news lone wolf shouldn’t be a thing.
In classic, hunters didn’t start with a pet but they did start with a bow…
