10.1 ww self healing

Feels real good with pvp health levels going up 104k with 10% more vers and our healing only going up a whole 3k on average.
I really like running out of fights and spending 20+ seconds trying to regen health

I agree ww monk healing and defenses are seriously lacking, surprised not much people are talking about this. I hope we get some more love, like reverting karma to what it use to be.

itsa crazy how blizzard ignores the ww community like please rework this awful spec worse than rets Lmao the past 3 xpacs its been so god awful bring back the dev that made it in mop wod please this or at least hire a dev for windwalker cause there isnt one rn … its absurd we have to pay 15 dollers a month for blizzard to not care about player feedback. and they even closed the big forums about feedback and ideas for ww its like they dont care and or wanna hear it… crazy…

People should play a class/spec first and get to know the PvP before complaining about it.

That way you will see whether WW are “too strong” or not.
On first sight several things look overpowered in PvP. But this is rather an issue somewhere else.
Damage numbers in PvP should likely be tweaked among many (if not all) classes and CC’s should be valuable - chsining them together should allow for high damage.

WW’s burst isn’t the strongest in the game. But their self-healing / self-sustain is likely one of the weakest.

It’s only getting weaker, next patch our casted heals are going down to 4.7% of our total health, I believe currently it’s about just slightly over 6%. We already have to take about 25 seconds to fully heal in current patch, that means next patch we’ll have to take even longer, it’s definitely the weakest.

I said this recently when i subbed. Why am i paying to play a class that FEELS bad as WW right now.
If you took one spell away, ToD, this classes damage sinks like the titanic.
And let’s not talk about the constant summons.
It feels like we’re playing a pseudo shaman half the time.

The last time WW felt good was in MoP, every expansion since then it feels weaker and weaker.

Weird it’s almost like my sub is almost gone and this ain’t the first time I’ve stopped for an entire xpac.

As well I’m like half the posts for WW, why wouldn’t I try my best for my preferred spec?

Did you mean shamans? Monks have what 4 DRs Shamans have one and they have expel harm On a short CD…

Idk who Botan is but okay? Let’s take a look at WW CDs?

Monk:
Fortifying Brew: 20% DR, 15% HP 4 min CD
Dampen Harm: 50% DR 2 min CD
Diffuse Magic: 60% Magic DR 1.5 min XD
Touch of Karma: 150-200k absorb shield (50%) that reflects 70% of the damage back 1.5 min CD

Shaman
Astral Shift: 40% DR 1.5 min CD

Paladin:
Shield of Vengeance: 30% HP shield on a 1 min CD (if talented)
Divine Protection: 30% DR 1 minute CD (I’d talented)
Divine shield: full DR 5 min Cd

Fury warrior
Enraged Regen: 30% DR 2 min CD

If you think Monk has bad defensives, go play other melee, the only one even remotely close is ret paladin and they are OP AF.

Also, you probably should get better gear if you want to be competitive.

Monks do have some defensives. But I do have to correct you:
Dampen Harm does not give a reliable 50% DR. It’s rather somewhat like 20-35%. You don’t eat only tank busters that would be reduced closely by 50%.
Dortifying Brew is on a 6 min CD base but can be reduced to 4 min with another node, yes. So it isn’t technically wrong to just tell 4.

It’s important to not only look at the defensives but also to take a note on the self-healing, too. WW’s self-healing is really really bad. Others can shield or heal themselves more effectively.

Additionally, don’t forget that monks wear leather and therefore have a naturally weaker physical mitigation than those you just listed.
