Kinda weird but I played an RBG with a spriest that did 20M dmg more than any other dps. Not sure what they changed.
I’m also seeing videos of spriest comps 1 shotting people in arenas.
I haven’t played spriest in a while but imo a spriest shouldn’t be a lock or comparable to a lock stand alone. They’re a hybrid dps class and always have been.

I am pretty bad at pvp compared to most people on here but especially bad on my spriest. I queued 3 (I think) RSSs the other day and it was completely miserable. All melee or melee/hunter. How do I survive this stuff? I felt like I was dead all the time. I probably have less experience on my spriest than all the other classes I’ve played. I really want that new set though!

Its viable, takes a bit to get used to. I switched to MS build and its been odd being able to bully a lobby. Just have to wait and not be the center of everyones focus.

Shadow feels Garbo it’s not fun to have a 1 shot void torrent gimmick I don’t play my shadow priest because of how unfun it is and I never used void eruption in the past. All the rank ones in the world can use a mechanic or not, the reality is most of us will never be rank 1, you can 1500 Andy at me all day. I still love you broseph!!! Shadow is Garbo by the way idc how many numbers it puts up it’s a clunky playstyle that’s been dumbed down to 4 buttons the offensive cd’s are a joke at best. driven to madness for short void eruption and void volley so u spam cc the melee during their burst and play catharsis for big damage while getting trained. press desperate prayer off cooldown and cast flash heal or pws when you get kicked on shadow and pay attention to your healers positioning and his cooldowns so you know when and when not to disperse. Void tendrilling a warrior and fading with feather around a corner during his warbreaker or any melees burst window can be pretty disruptive to them since it causes them to lose a few globals.

I actually hate void volley if u run void form. Just feels wasted talent. Ied recommend either cathar driven and phantasm or cathar driven and aoe life grip. The shields from aoe life grip are massiveeee. Especially into caster teams.
He enjoys the playstyle I do not. I never once said it doesn’t pump……the over whelming majority of rank ones use void torrent. One guy being one of the best players in the world can probly take half of his buttons off his keys and still beat the majority of players, it doesn’t mean it’s optimal for pvp Paul’s like you and I . I refuse to play the class again just so you can read it again because it’s not fun to me. And void torrent needs to be nerfed
With the health pools we have, 80k catharsis and unfurling is tickle damage be real lol.
All you have to do is interrupt/cc void torrent, shadow’s damage is completely manageable otherwise. Even better if your healer is spamming dispels when void form is up.
How frequently is said 80k catharsis available for use?
you realize having dots up with void form doesnt matter as much because you benifet from full mastery regardless of how many dots you have when you pop DA or Void erupt

Yes but the mastery buff isn’t what is giving void torrent the big dam, it’s the insidious ire talent. You need all 3 dots up for that to work.
its not optimal to cc yourself while your teammate is getting clapped bya void torrent and then risk follow up CC
Shadow priest damage is good. Not god tier broken like enhance boomy or destro.
But its good. Only delusional sp players will try to argue against that.
