10.1 release date. Blizzard Please consider d4 Launch

I know we do not have any official release date. However, there is quite a lot of speculation going around. Quiet a few are leading to 1-2 weeks after the 6 week time-walking event ends. Which puts us 8 weeks from today. End of May 10.1 and 2 weeks later raid release the first-second week of June. Some say mid to late June. Either way all speculative.

My point is. Please, do not do like you have in the past time and time again. Please consider not releasing 10.1 so that the new season and raid release timings are on or near the same time frame that D4 launches (June 6th).

I know that the D4 IP has nothing to do with WoW directly but it does its player base. The majority of WoW’s player base casual, semi-hardcore, and the 1% WF, do play multiple Blizzard titles. To be force to split time or choose one over the other feels extremely bad.

Not to mention from a business and income perspective does it not make much more sense to split these content releases. But that hasn’t stopped you in the past from overlapping content releases and launches from various titles within your same company. Just hoping for the best here.

Wotlk classsic is not a separate IP. It is a different genre of WoW. Think of it as a subsidiary of Retail WoW. That has a very small popular audience and niche crowd. WoW as an entity is not dead, so no.

They’ve already said they’re aware of D4s release.

Personally I have no interest in Diablo 4. I would rather play FF16.

That’s a whole other story. A competitor to WoW as an MMORPG. Very unlikely to get anything aligned with content releases there. If anything you’d get more directly aligned.

They already softly-unofficially confirmed the release of 10.1 will be in May. Its all good. 5/16

I actually like having multiple games to play at a time. Keeps me from burning out.

If that was the actual release date, we would be 1 week into Season 2 when D4 launched…which I dont think would fix the OPs complaint.

There is going to be some overlap no matter how they do it.

IMO best case scenario would be to release 10.1 2 weeks after d4 launch. June 20th. Which then puts the first week of raid release on July 4th.

Patch releases the 16th. Season starts the 23rd. Two weeks later (race to world first is over already) Diablo 4 launches. Seems fine to me.

I’m going to make a prediction before looking at your armory you are still progging Mythic and are hoping for more time. Let’s see…

  • They are aware of Diablo IV launching on June 6th and that’s something they’ll be keeping in mind when it comes to releasing for 10.1, but nothing specific to announce at this time.
