It’s official in Embers of Neltharion open world content is now the fourth pillar of gearing since you can earn these “flightstones” in the outdoor content (world quest/ world events / world boss/ rares elites and treasure chest). And upgrade gear without the need to touch a dungeon or raid to gear up. And one last thing it basically made gearing the most casual thing people can do in 10.1
World quest gear will still be garbage compared to gear from challenging content. You won’t be able to upgrade it to amazing ilvls. So it’s basically going to be a “grind” that people are going to complain about because “Blizzard doesn’t respect their time”.
Presumably now these overworld players will be content with the eventual item level ceiling they will still hit.
I don’t see harmony happening because you have a slightly larger upgrade track than you did before. But if you think it’s enough, then enjoy it!
Exactly. If you think this is a win then feel free to enjoy it just don’t be mistaken about the actual reality of the situation.
It still won’t be enough for “solo players”
They all say they don’t want BIS or mythic raid gear, but no amount of rewards is ever good enough for them
this right here
Just think of them like primal chaos. New name same thing.
Aren’t the upgrades capped at a low ilvl until you get the second currency from said dungeons or raids?
World of currencies craft
More things to clutter up my bags.
I mean world quest gear in the open world are upgradable in 10.1.0. So, it should bring some joy for those who only do those things and earn flightstone and upgrade them even though outdoor gear are categorized as “explorer”.
Blizzard should just make the world content come into the cities so that players don’t have to go anywhere. There could be an opt out option, whereby those players that chose it could simply walk over to the mailbox , and collect their loot, and gold, while still getting their achievements.
lol what on earth?! XD
GD: Why don’t I get max ilvl gear from petting goats and kicking fish back into the river!
That’s not true at all
We just don’t want to be dogcrap. In BfA I was able to eventually (after three or four months) get to normal raid ilvl, and then later on heroic raid ilvl by farming random BGs, and doing assaults/chest drops.
It didn’t harm anyone and kept me reasonably competitive. Something like that is all I personally ask as a solo/casual player.
You can do that right now as well.
No I can’t.
My conquest gear caps at LFR ilvl except in bgs. I can’t even turn on WM because everyone outgears the hell out of me.
EDIT: Unless you’re talking about forbidden reach stuff, which I haven’t done very much of.
You can get to normal raid item level without ever touching a piece of grouped content.
So it scales up when it matters, what’s the problem? Why does it matter if your item level is lower when you’re out of BGs?
You elect to not partake in most of the content the game has to offer, you’re gonna be behind the people that do the content that you’re ignoring.
There’s a man on the wing of this plane!
