The Priest tier set is up on the 10.1 PTR so I jumped on and tested it.
The 4-piece bonus isn’t working as there’s no stacking buff, but it looks like what the 2-piece does is when it procs it shoots off a fresh 7-stack PoM off that target.
I casted a 7-stack PoM at a target dummy and it healed them, created a new PoM, and both PoMs came back to me with a 6+7 = 13 stack.
Also, the tier set PoM is 100% identical to a regular PoM, and it can proc off itself. I had it proc twice and there was PoMs flying all over the place from a singular cast. I’m going to imagine they’re going to nerf this tier set because the healing potential is just absolutely insane if it’s making 7-stack PoMs each time it procs.
I don’t think it works on Holy Word Salvation though. I tried twice and it was either bad RNG or it doesn’t work.

It should duplicate the stacks remaining… and even that is really strong. Our apotheosis will be going off twice as quick, on top of double Pom healing…. we’ll be spitting out free sanctifys like candy. The way you described sounds even quicker than that.
Both healer 2 sets are VERY strong right now if they went to live as-is. Disc’s procs contrition on each bolt it generates on an offensive penance (which just pretty much boosts penance healing by 90% - which is like a 15-20% healing increase) Both healer 4 sets aren’t functioning though.
Holy’s self-replicating PoMs are extremely synergistic with every single talent they have. Benediction will proc more with more bounces, Answered prayers will proc more with more bounces, it copies bounce increases, when 2 bounce to the same target they increase stack count amplifying divine service, etc.
I’m kinda expecting to not see them hit live like this though. Priest rarely if ever gets the super fun thing. I expect they’ll cap the replicated PoM bounces on holy and remove the contrition interaction/nerf it for disc.
Would love to see the bonus be a bit more useful for m+. I like PoM, but it feels way more impactful in raids, and we’re already good in raids.
Looks like they’re changing this set bonus.
- Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: 2-Set Bonus has been redesigned – When you cast Prayer of Mending, there is a 35% chance its effect is duplicated to another ally.
- Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: 4-Set Bonus has been redesigned – When Prayer of Mending jumps or expires, it increases the damage and healing of your next Holy Word by 4%, stacking up to 15 times.
