Gameplay’s solid, just the story is really, really bad.

They never complained.
Honestly so long as any game isn’t made by David Cage, I keep my rage down. I freaking hate that guys games so much.
Do we know exactly the difference between a Dragon which has the powers of an “aspect” versus what the powers of a “pretty strong” dragon are? Have they at least retconned what specifically the mojo is and what it will do?
They gonna just straight up bring Neltharion back or something? Have us press the button twice?
It’s not bad in the sense that the writing was just done poorly, it’s bad in that it’s hamfisted HARD. Datamining after the fact kind of explains why, it’s was a rush job, but it’s hard to explain if you haven’t played the game.
I guess the easiest way of explaining it would be that basically this expansion shouldn’t exist. One of the major plot points of the campaign was actually supposed to be part of the previous expansion and the rest was kind of stitched together to allow more development time on the last expansion.
Ah I see.
After helping a Jedi defeat a Sith and acquire a Sith Hologram they were searching for.
Smuggler : You’re not going to go all Sithy just by holding it, are you?
Considering what the Incarnates and Priamlists have been preaching, also considering the fact they attacked and invaded Horde and Alliance territory, if we just left the Aspects on their own, they most likely lose, then everyone else would be at a massive disadvantage since the Incarnates would most likely have gone and gotten juiced up on Neltharion’s reserach/magic/whatever and then suddenly becomes a much bigger problem for us all to deal with.
I wish I gave a crap about any of these 2D villains lol.
The Primal Incarnates are stronger than Aspects. Raszageth was stronger than Neltharion until he made his pact with the Old Gods(which put him at the same level as Malygos, Nozdormu and Ysera individually and just about weaker than Alexstrasza) so that should tell you the power level of the Primal Incarnates as Raszageth was the weakest of them.
If it weren’t for Deathwing being given regeneration by N’Zoth he would have died in his fight with Alexstrasza in Cataclysm so Alexstrasza is clearly the strongest of the Aspects when at full power.
Raszageth was the weakest of the Primal Incarnates so she is stronger than Neltharion Pre-Void yet weaker than the other Aspects.
The other Primal Incarnates needed the Aspects to team up to beat them. Fyrakk is going to absorb the Shadowflame Core of Neltharion’s lab Aberrus making him even stronger which should tell you he is going to be above Aspect Alexstrasza at full power and since Iridikron is implied to be the Final Boss of Dragonflight you can imagine just how powerful he will be.
realistically, we should be one shotting everything on this island. we just spent the past few expansions killing gods and now we’re having trouble with some nobody dragons that just showed up.
Skylanders MMORPG would bankrupt Blizzard.
By letting Sylvanas live they already told us that they don’t care.
The story is already pretty incontrovertible which makes the scenes self-explanatory. It’s one of the reasons why the quality of the story tends to be… how should i put this… shallow.
and yet we’re talking about “who are these characters here” that are clearly set up to be, for lack of better way of phrasing it, the main characters for that arc in that patch (discounting the main story with Alextrasza and friends)
There’s a million plot holes in this game. Ignore them as I have. The setup is easy. There’s some sussy wussy dragons hiding in the trees watching the bad guys steal stuff. That means we’re gonna have to go and talk with the sussy wussy dragons to get to the bottom of it and stop the bad guys.
It’s very simple.
In her defense, the writing should never have led to that outcome in the first place but what’s done is done. I wouldn’t have killed her off either just because she’s Sylvanas.
I’d of killed her off, since leaving her alive is just a tinderbox for another faction conflict.
Thanks for the explanation!
