10.0.7 Ouroboros changes

    • Ouroboros has been redesigned – Casting Echo increases the healing of your next Emerald Blossom by 15%, stacking up to 10 times (was Emerald Blossom and Dream Breath increase healing of Echo).
    • Fluttering Seedlings healing increased by 20%.

I want to start by saying this is a very welcome change, but if you want to make Emerald Blossom more competitive, put Dream Breath on that list. Even if its only the initial hit or the Empowered level you use it at.

Gaining 10 stacks is going to be near impossible with out some massive long gap of no healing… or insane luck with Essence bursts.

Its very Obvious you are trying to make Fluttering a play style… i approve of it. If anything there needs to be redesigns across the board involving Fluttering.

Emerald Blossom also needs to attach to the target for its duration instead of a ground target under them. When it happens during movement in a boss fight, its really punishing to the spec.

Spiritbloom needs to be 20second CD baseline and the 20second Talent needs to make those targets throw a fluttering out.

Replace Empath with something that makes Spiritbloom hit 1 additional target per empowerment level at 50% reduces power.

Everyone and their dog picks up spiritbloom, and its near mandatory to be 20second CD, ive used the other one a couple times but feel really bad when i do cos of the timer. Making Spiritbloom 20seconds would only add to the diversity of the spell. Throwing a fluttering in there would only make it stronger and more used in raid content, even tho its a mandatory talent to take for Emerald Communion.

Swap Exhilarating Burst and Spark of insight. Make spark of insight link to the spiritbloom option choice only and make it so insight also increases Spiritbloom Essence Regen by 100% for 8seconds aswell as offer Temporal Compression Grants you Essence Burst.

Field of Dreams % should be dropped to 15% from 30% to cover the new abundance of Fluttering seedlings going out as to not over populate the map with insane number of Emerald Blossoms.

I have clear visions of what the Preservation Tree should be, and the two stand out changes i can see is that Stasis and Dreamflight have no reason being on the tree and should just be baseline Preservation instead. You could even put Stasis into class for Deva, it might help with their ability to survive a bit and it is only healing spells, its not really going to save a group in pvp. I would say Stasis should be a baseline 2 spells for Deva and 3 for PResto (yes thats what i call it) and infinite duration until used instead of its current style.

So what would i put in the place of Dreamflight and Stasis on the tree?

Dream Flight should be replaced with a Dream Breath that shoots out flutterings. This would add to the fluttering play style so many of us want and you are trying to push.

Stasis should be replaced with a talent choice for a Reversion play style.

Option 1: Reversion Crits now heal near by allies for 20% of their healing every 3seconds. Also Deals 50% of Healing done as Damage to near by enemies upon Crit.

Option 2: Empowered abilities increase the tick rate of Reversion for 4seconds by 50%.

Option 1 would offer a cluster Reversion play style, you throw out TA it maxes out at 45% power, Echo is 105% power. This wouldnt hurt the aoe concept but would add to M+ allowing you to have a little more aoe going on. Throwing something out that heals for 9k a tick, dealing 2k on its Crits would not only increase the concept of Crit = Good for Reversion but would also offer a little more healing in Raid/M+ melee. 20% is a ballpark and if it needs to be raised or lowered (probably lowered) i dont know anyone that would say its a bad thing.

Option 2 would offer a more burst healing to the play style and basically another CD for raids/M+. 50% should be enough to keep it within the normal levels of Empowerment and also keep Tranq as a massive CD. I dont want to push Tranq out but having a faster tick rate on Reversion shouldnt push Tranq to the bottom of the list. Remember Tranq also increases its healing and healing done by Druid by 12%? i think it stacks 3 times. If its 4times its 16%.

I’m using it in its current state and I’m loving its play style and I think I’m the only one. The big snipe heals I get with Echos are so much fun. I’m doing 17s to 20s with my build.

I’m indifferent in the changes. I hate that blizzard always touch things that I find fun and new ways to play and then they come along and iron things out when I like finding and using the wrinkles.

Do you think temporal anomoly echos will apply towards ouroboros?

I thought so too, but I was having a hard time figuring out why I would ever cast 10 echos before I blossomed if I was going big blossom build which is where this lends its self.

Yeah this idea sucks more and more. I loved using Ouroboros in dungeons for the big echo spot heals.

Blizzard, once again. Put this talent change on a toggle so we have the option to do either one. This is the way the TA changes should have been.

You’re fixing this class for raid and ruining it for dungeons. I don’t care if I’m timing keys if the abilities feel bad. I had to go against the grain and start using TA and Ouroboros before a lot of other Evokers because the game play was so much better than the Wowhead talent build with neither of those things.

Simple. Ouroboros should be a choice nod. So you can choose between the old one or the new one.
