10.0.7 Class Changes

How come I don’t see any upcoming class changes for Warriors…seems like every other class has something changed in some way or another but not one change for Warriors…are we getting left out… or is our class just right as of now.

This unfortunately is the norm for warrior. Get used to seeing nothing in patch notes after warlock.

Yup. They are putting Paladins ahead of Warriors both as tanks and melee now. This whole meta shift every season is tiresome.

Bizz seems to do this all the time nowadays too.

One thing I always hated is how Blizzard “balances” classes. They literally change up the entire class/spec from season to season as opposed to making minor tweaks. Then they wonder why people are rerolling constantly.

I’m not a meta chaser myself and feel most comfortable with my warrior, so I’ll continue playing him regardless of any buffs or nerfs. I think the one class that draws an even shorter stick than us is the monk though. Blizzard really craps on monks constantly.

Nothing for Warriors really needs massive attention.

Arms is quite good in PvP, although weak against casters/ranged if unsupported, can still compete in a team quite well.

Fury isn’t very good, but that’s more a function of every other spec having massive burst windows from critical hits on big slow attacks (Arms MS for example) in PvP.

Protection doesn’t have a place in PvP, but that’s OK. No tank specs should.

PvE? I don’t know about that, but I hear it’s OK or good? Scripted encounters designed for anyone to succeed.

To be fair, warriors are in a much better place than Paladin in both tanking and DPS.

They needed the help.

Not to say Warriors are perfect, but if you have to prioritize changes, ret had a ton of issues.

Its also silly that everyone is just ignoring
A) prot is s teir already
B) arms JUST had a talent rework and is s teir melee raid
C) fury JUST had a rework and is B±A teir m+.

Ret paladins are plain awful and horribly talented. What exactly does a warrior need a rework for and not just minor tweaks at this point? Its far from like warriors have just been ignored any in DF…

People just love complaining even when it makes no sense.

But think of all the poor F-tier warrior specs struggling to be viable

Lol this mantra always gets me.

Crazy how few people get CE if anyone can succeed.

This is fair and true… While it’s boring and frequently the case, warriors are fine.

I just came from a thread where someone said arms warrior is the only class that players aren’t complaining about. So many dissenting opinions makes it hard to extrapolate any sort of inspiration for my future classes, lol.

According to websites like IcyVeins, in high keys Protection Paladin is already above Protection Warrior due to the several Warrior nerfs over this expansion.

This is kinda where I’m at now, assuming they don’t do anything to drastically change how it plays. I can live with not being the meta. That just provides the opportunity to outshine people who are chasing the meta, but not doing their due diligence to maximize their class’s capabilities. It’s taken me a couple of months, but I found my main in Arms, finally. Now I’m just working on getting better with him.

I think that was me. Hello again! But to clarify, I didn’t say no one was complaining about it (because let’s be honest here, someone will always find reasons to complain). I just stated that I have no gripes. I’m really happy with it.

To be fair, I came to the Warrior forum specifically looking for complaints! Not to invalidate what you said, but to see what bad aspects it might have so I can make a SOMEWHAT educated decision, lol.

If it helps validate your decision to shop around, my main was a Ret Pally prior to my doing the same (the mage I mentioned in the other thread was my second to 70 IIRC). Leveled 6 characters to 70 and did some amount of LFR or Normals on each before making a decision. We’ll see how the ret changes go, but I’m not optimistic based on what direction they seem to be taking them in. Either way, I don’t see quitting Arms any time soon. It’s just too much fun.

I wouldnt go so far as to say that arms is s tier

Warrior is in a pretty good spot overall, I think the biggest factor is that all 3 specs are really fun to play right now.

Prot war is in a great spot tanking wise.

Arms is good in all forms of content.

Fury lacks behind in PvP and single target damage but they also have one of if not the weakest tier set currently so hopefully next patch that gets remedied.

The important thing to keep in mind is that the specs play well and feel fun.
