10.0.7 Changes

First off, My opinions are my own.

Buffs to Drain Soul are certainly welcome. But a lot of other burst class/specs are getting buffed too.

They removed some of our survivability tools though, which are supposed to keep us alive while we rot the targets in PvP. This tankiness has helped in PvP, and without them, and not having any real burst to speak of, it’s going to be a frustrating and terrible experience.

With Desperate Pact and Accrued Vitality removed from the warlock tree, The DoTs are going to have to do A LOT more damage A LOT FASTER. Affliction is a RoT spec in a burst meta PvP season.

Curious if other warlocks agree, or have a different opinion.

I think. It’s people who are pvping seriously this season are playing Destro.

yeah, but I’ve always wanted to play affliction. That, and as Destro, in solo queues you will be the focus target, and it’s very tough for me anyway.
Demo is actually easier to play than Destro imho, because you are a tankier focus target than Destro.

They need to fix Gate CD to 1min in PvP mode, at least in my opinion would give all Lock Specs more viability from being trained on every match.

With the lack of survivability abilities, we need more escape options because the good Devs at Blizz decided to give Shadow Priests all the cool defenses.

You manage to last a whole minute while the melee train choo choo’s you down?!

Granted I have the most success as demo in SS, but that’s generally only when the opposing players are casters as well, or aren’t wearing PVP gear.

I find as destro I can’t get a cast off to save my life, and aff just doesn’t have the damage output before i’m trained.

I wanted to make some noise about this but was just too unbothered, so thank you for posting.

Yes, the desparate pact removal is pretty significant for affliction I would say. They should really just bake this talent into the baseline spell. It would make it worth pressing for demo and destro, too.

Not quite, both have their strengths and weaknesses when looking at matchups. What you’re comfortable playing will be easier for you.

From a general standpoint, I’d say destro is easier with 3 schools to cast from, instant damage (enough to cause pressure/close game out), etc. But that’s just my opinion.

I play the demo zoo build. just keep on summoning imps/dogs fear when you can and run run run. When I tried destro I got targeted non stop every match and couldnt do as much damage.

I’m amazed anyone is still playing ranged, especially in PvP.

Gluttons for punishment I guess.

Not everyone is as garbage at ranged as you are.

It’s frustrating this season, but my lock is one of the few classes I enjoy playing anymore (despite its current flaws). Plus we got the best mogs :+1:

Dude. You haven’t played one rated pvp match on your lock.

Good thing I was talking about PvE
