blizzard has no control over your countries monetary problems. 20 canadian dollars=15 AMERICAN dollars which is what blizzard accepts.
It was once 15$ CAD back when game cards were a thing… not 2O$, reading isn’t your strong suit… less milking disability and more time realizing you don’t know everything.
Well the game has been available more than 150K hours since it first launched. So ~6% of total time is spent on maintenance.
Seems like a good bargain to me.

I wish Blizzard would do maintenance daily tbh… it’s super healthy for people to realize that wow won’t be here forever and to focus on actual RL goals. Ever since i started sitting in maintenance instead of playing it gave me the time to get more jacked than rambo

blizzard charges you $15.00 a month (I rounded for an even number)
And there are a total of 730.001 hours in a single month
Lets say the average weekly down time last 8 hours: Once a month I will toss in an extra 8 for ‘random down times’ to try and play fair.
so you have 40 hours of down time a month: this is being over generous and it is not that much but I am humoring you.
thats 480 hours of down time a year.
wow is going on 19 years old? so you have being over generous to you 9,120 hours of down time.
so roughly in all of wows 19 years: it has been down 13 total months if all hours are added that is out of 228 total months which is also 9,120 hours of total down time out of 166,440 hours.
So blizzard “owes” you a $195.
And again I blew these numbers up because I have an extra 8 hours monthly which is not the normal and rounded things up etc etc.
Now you say its wasted Maintenance, what I would like you to do OP is make a massive mmo game that host millions of players across dozens of severs and: do better and show us how its done. Oh also do it for free because alot of people, not you, but alot of people think the game should be free so, chop chop lets see the data and work.

Its pretty funny that there’s people out there who rage about something so small.
Servers in this game up up like 95%+ of total hours every week. Sometimes there’s extra maintenance or something doesnt go perfect. Not really rageworthy, but by all means unsub or whatever. Just don’t threaten to unsub then continue playing when it happens again. Don’t be a flake with your Karen rage. Follow through.
1000 hours is 23 dollars. Even if that’s true, I’m not going to sweat 23 dollars on my favorite game that I’ve played for several years.

The thing is I dont think its possible to avoid any sort of downtime. WoW realms are different servers. The game has to be stopped before files can be updated for patches. Additionally all the player data are stored in specific databases. Eveb if you had a 2nd set of servers the main server database would mever catch up from even 1 hour of players doing stuff.
Having google as an isp anytime there was ever downtime they applied a credit to my bill. Its the normal thing to do. When i renew my subscription i have yet to see anything that says i may have to go a few days in between sessions because they cant get their stuff together. Lile blizz isnt a mom and pops shop. Get off their nuts. Seems like there could be a class action lawsuit.
Please note that you pay for access to the game, not for guaranteed uninterrupted play time.

I tend to be fine with regular scheduled maintenance if that’s what they need to keep the game running but when they keep extending the maintenance it’s really annoying
Fully agree, and I also wish they would stop calling any maintenance that isn’t on maintenance day, ie Tuesday, scheduled. If it’s not on maintenance day, it’s not scheduled, call it emergency maintenance, or unscheduled maintenance like it really is.
