1000 Archaeology solves

I have around 1000 Archaeology solves now, over 350 troll and haven’t seen a single 359 weapon. Based on the numbers I’ve been seeing, Blizzard have reduced the odds of coming across an epic to much less than 1% probably less than half a percent and haven’t done anything to restore it to what it was originally. They’re trying to kill the game before it even has a chance by destroying players desire to play before the patch even launches with these garbage numbers.

That will be a good way to get a forum ban. So if I get this right you are DEMANDING change game design? Entitlement much?

And how do you know this or is this conjecture?

If you’re stressing about getting the Archaeology items then you should take a break from farming them.

Maybe take the hint that there’s already enough threads about archaeology.
:axe:

I wouldn’t be too sure. There’s gross violations all over the place that they aren’t doing anything about, which include some of your posts.

Odds of a weapon is minimum 1/459 per race. Get diggin’ until Bad Luck Protection or Fragment Trading becomes a thing. Or more likely the Archeology complaints will die off in 7 days and the only people annoyed by it are the completionists

Man, people really are burning themselves out over nothing.

If the rates are incorrect, you shouldn’t assume it’s malice.

The game is extremely buggy in many areas currently. I doubt they’re “trying” to make it bad intentionally. It’s just unfinished and being rushed to a deadline.

Why would he get banned? I’ve seen worse posts than his.

Up to 870 troll solves now. I feel like I’m playing RuneScape at this point.

Nope, because completionists (I am one) find their joy in completeing - those complaining are the ones that finds their joy in parses, being ahead of the curve, and in having THEIR BiS … and crying when they do not get it in what they find is a reasonable time.

Hint: The keyword to look for here is my applied to items they would like to have, even feel entitled to, and imagine (rightly or wrongly) will put them in a better poosition.

It was never 1%, it’s .01%

Can you really find that much joy in completing the profession when there’s no gauge of progress and completion may never happen if you’re simply unlucky?

Yes.

You’re a “completionist” so you’d enjoy flying around Eastern Kingdoms digging forever? That makes no sense to me, but ok.

Entitled parselords losing their minds and cata isn’t even released yet.

I farmed the blade of eternal of darkness for my twink back in classic vanilla when the drop rate was 1/500, took me close to 3000 runs. I got it 2 weeks before the drop rate was buffed to 1/50. Didn’t make a single whiny forum post.

That’s because I would NOT farm or dig all the time. I’d do it inbetween leveling, Questing, fishing, getting crazy off beat achievements and what else I do. There would be no time limit (aka. launch) for me to get it done before.

So you’re saying the drop rate was abysmal and they buffed it?

Its a secondary profession that the tryhards have turned into a main profession because they just must have those purple puxels and 0.050 dps increase over the blue sword that drops in a heroic dungeon.
