Player created content. Each zone in the game could have a dedicated entry point where the listed “adventure” is and possible chapters to its campaign.
Nothing has to be offical lore, just something that others create and play through.
To that end, inside the adventure, the storyteller can create items to overcome the challenges, but aren’t permanent to you character.
At the completion of said adventure or campaigns blizzard can decide the “payment” such as gold or a pet, or even a currency that you can trade in for items to use in actual wow.
This take the pressure off devs to constantly update fast, this wrecking the game, let’s players flex their own ideas without impact to azeroth itself.

Remove the idea that difficulty = gear. It creates a very hostile environment for players alone. Give paths to the same gear, that are faster based on raiding or mythic Dungeons, and slower based on simple adventuring.
There’s no earthy reason for there to be a division of players based on gear alone.
Basically, bring the player not the gear.
You want a better mmorpg? Make it more inclusive rather than exclusive. Concerned about difficulty? Well since we have close to a very lose Diablo model, why not offer world quests based on "easy, normal, hard, expert and master ". Seems like a solution to that. Rather than give out lower level gear, just increase the chances of getting more gear rather than just the base reward.

Stop with the almost forced e-sports aspect of the game. By and large I don’t think people honestly care or watch arena championships or mythic Dungeon finals.

Give players back our choice on how to approach the content. This garbage of each zone in a particular order was terrible. If someone wanted to start in maldraxxus, then they should been able to.

Please for all that is holy, get rid of things like AP or Anima. That is the most boring grind ever.

I’ll stop here. If there’s more I can think of, then I’ll say later.
Be well.

Unfortunately will be the same thing as the last expansions. They don’t want to try new things on retail to maintain your public, they just need to release a expansion every 2 years to profit, they know exactly how many will buy it and looks like enough for them.

The message was clear when they released the classic: don’t like retail? Play classic, there you’ll find a rpg game with interaction, we’ll get your money anyway.

Yes, please! I think I would love pet battles but refuse to spend that much of my ‘in-game’ time on it. Now let me pet battle while on the crapper… heck yeah!

Also mobile app fishing needs to be a thing!

I would really like crafting and also the AH back. Unfortunately I don’t think that will happen.

No.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA not on your life sport. This is Moneyvision we’re talking about.

Finally, something intelligent…

It’s so weird how niche pet battles are. Even the Karen “I only collect mounts” type of players don’t do pet battles.

That’s going to take like… 4 years to make. Even Classic had just one real raid, with Ony coming very shortly there after and was a single boss raid that required components from 5 mans, i.e. a grind that people in the present day will whine about.

M+ is GARBAGE. Get rid of it altogether. 5 mans should never give gear equal to raids unless it’s a .05 -1% last boss drop Ala Emperor Thaurissan or King Gordok that you can farm for like 5 dungeons in an hour if you badly want it for raid progression.

My hope is that they’ll add back in talent trees and call that our new “borrowed power” and balancing changes will vary up what is good and bad in each tier.

Think of something like this. Both of these things together.

At the end of the tree there is a signature ability that you can talent into, sort of like covenants, but you can swap the ability at any time.

Obviously it might be a bit complicated. So maybe just more complex tier sets?

Tauren Rogues, Warlocks and Mages (lorewise they can be Grimtotem defectors that join the Horde).

More race options for Demon Hunters

Morons like you are why GD gets disparaged.

What I want for 10.0? Content that I want to do instead of content I feel is forced to do (to experience the content).

I feel the best way to explain it is to explain why I’ve left my only lvl 60 character out to dry.
-Anima farming to either purchase stuff from the vendor or to upgrade the Sanctum.
-Grind out Renown to unlock basically everything.
-Running through Torghast to farm whatever it is I need to farm.
-Running through the Maw to farm whatever it is I need to farm.
-Hunting after Soul Conduit upgrades?
-Soul Binds?

It all sounds so… tedious and boring. Is it too hard for Blizzard to follow the KISS theory? For those that don’t know, KISS either translates to (in context of design) Keep It Short & Simple or Keep It Simple Stupid. I think I like the 2nd definition in regards to Blizzard. But all this stuff to keep people playing instead of creating stuff that a good amount of people may want to do.

I liked Timeless Isle. But I think they’ve tried reinventing that wheel too much that they have forgotten what made Timeless Isle what it was.

Maybe gear that looks great and tied to the class.

Also Player Housing would be a nice feature to (NOT GARRISONS), but we’re never getting that.

New class, nope… every time they introduce these, their lore gets thrown to the wayside… Demon Hunters in Legion was done well because they already had PLENTY of existing lore, and because other classes INCLUDING DK got the same treatment story-wise with Order Halls…

New races and new specs (or at least redesigns and more customizations) YES… also maybe let more races play as more classes, where it makes sense… for example, Draenei and Troll Demon Hunters…

It’s not absolutely required to do the mission table… yes, you can get some extra gold / items from that, but honestly the mission table IMO is the least problematic thing in Shadowlands…

Absolutely agree here, except I want Major Glyphs to make a return, complete with being craftable by Inscription so that profession is actually relevant again…

Mythic Plus needs a complete revamp, in fact I would argue it needs to be axed and replaced with a better system for infinitely scaling dungeons… the timer, and the fact that bum hat players can ruin your run and downgrade the key at literally any moment by dropping group, not to mention RAIDER IO are all things that need to just NOT be a part of any gearing meta for any content… I literally have gotten new layers added to my pre-existing PTSD from running keys in BFA, because of all the aforementioned factors…

You already have those, they are DKs…

It’s not that we need a Tinker class, it’s that Engineering and bandages need a buff…

You seriously think 9.1 is gonna be the last patch of Shadowlands?!
  :joy:

Timewalking needs to be a difficulty setting for ALL dungeons / raids, and NOT an event for just some of them…

Timewalking vendors need to be in the cities 24/7, and they should have upgrader NPCs for gear which will let you upgrade your Timewalking gear with Timewarped Badges…

Timewalking should give you a keystone at the end of a timewalking run so you can run MYTHIC + TIMEWALKING = FUN dungeons… okay, that name was goofy, but it was on purpose so Blizzard can come up with a better name for getting to run a +15 Deadmines or something… and NOT have stupid timers / keystone downgrades when people leave out of spite, etc.

The Infinite Dragonflight returns as a main expansion villain, and the Caverns of Time gets a new wing accessed via portal which becomes our capital city for that expansion…

There’s a new scenario dungeon where we can explore it infinitely by portals, and each area is somewhere in time / space… there is NO floor cap, NO layer cap like Torghast, you can just keep exploring it endlessly if you want to, and come back at any time to specific portals you have accessed… it’s a rough idea, but this alone would make an expansion awesome to me, I would legit not care about any other system or feature…

I would play the crap out of both of these. Sure, there’s some overlap elsewhere in the game, but who cares? I need a new alt and their class rhymes with Stinker.

I see this sentiment a lot, but (to me) m+ is the greatest thing WoW had introduced since arenas. I love it to death. I’ve probably logged 200+ runs across 4 toons this expansion alone.

To all the people who thought my “lofty” goal of raids and dungeons was too high, go take a look at the dungeon list for TBC. Back before we had all these garbage systems, content was everything, and it needs to be again, in my opinion. Putting a “build” or a “load out” together can be good fun in its own right, but not at the expense of content. Hell, we could just intoeude time walking as it’s own difficulty and suddenly have 49 raids and 130 dungeons at launch. You can’t tell me that they don’t have the resources for this. I’m a solutions architect for a healthcare company, software development and deployment is literally my area of expertise.

And not just dungeon content. I don’t know how PvP players have absolutely rioted over getting 1 new map every 3 years and PvP balance happening bi-annually.

From the outside looking in, it looks like development is slowing down. They’re taking longer to produce less with every expansion, and I think it has to do with thee layered, time wasting systems.

Keep it simple. More content = better. More PvP maps. More dungeons. More raids. More zones. More quests. More loots. Less systems. Less conduits or artifact/Azerite/anima power.

10.0 sounds like the perfect time for WoW 2.

My biggest wish is for a restructure. Josh Allen and ion need to go.

After that. Axe the systems. They’re bad. They’ve been bad since legion. Enough is enough.

More focus on mythic+. We were told bfa would be an expansion focused on mythic+ we were lied to. Seriously, if they don’t delete tyrannical in 9.1 they’re actually trolling

More frequent tuning. This should be happening every week or two. I do not care about raid balance but the meta in mythic+ should not be as out of control as it is.

Rework classes. They do not feel good. Take the time to reimagine them. From the ground up.

No more aoe cap. This is the dumbest change they’ve made yet. Fire whoever came up with the idea

What they should do is ban all the shills with tongues firmly up blizzards taint on a constant bases. But they probably like that.

As much as I hate it, I would take it if I can keep slappy hands. Please god, I know in my heart abom limb is going bye bye and it hurts.

My list

  • Playable Ogres/Mok’nathal for the Horde and Jinyu for the Alliance. Maybe even give us Neutral Tuskarr if they are feeling brave.

  • Player housing that incentivizes us to complete cool tasks. Kill heroic boss, bring it’s head back and hang it on something.

  • Customizable racial mount. Example: Dwarves get a high-res Ram but they can outfit it in different armors, adorn it with different items from bosses they kill, achievements they earn, other cool stuff.

  • More customization. Just give Trolls beards already Blizz, that one guy has been posting under your tweets for months now, help him out.

  • Fix faction balance. I don’t care how; let us makes guilds and play with each other in content. Who does it hurt?

  • Shameless self plug: BUFF FROST DK

For Blizzard to not make terrain, quests, and objectives purposefully tedious to drag out play time.

YES!! (additional required characters)

Lol, it’s pretty much everything you summed up here.

ESPECIALLY

Why does Blizzard insist on moving away from the most successful formula that built this game up for the first two expansions?

They kept trying to reinvent and reinvent and are trying to drive a bicycle with triangle wheels at this point.
