10.0 Orgrimmar & Stormwind Remodel

Do yall think Orgrimmar & Stormwind are gonna get a major revamp for 10.0?

Considering they’re our “faction hubs,” they’re lookin pretty outdated. Besides Loins Rest, which looks beautiful, the rest of these two cities haven’t been updated in over a decade.

I’m speculating since they’re bringing in weather effects just for Stormwind & Orgrimmar soon, so i’m wondering if they’ll do more.

Would be nice if Night Elves/Gilnean & Forsaken got their own quarters in the cities since they’re pretty homeless now. I know Night Elves canonically have Hyjal, but there’s a bunch of Darnassus Refugees in Stormwind so idk what’s up with that.

Always wanted a blood elf quarter in orgtimmar too, but i’d rather just see Silvermoon revamped.

I wouldn’t bet on it. Org/SW are the faction capitals but they haven’t been the main expansion hubs since they were redone in Cata.

I’m really hoping Blizzard goes all in for 10.0. I’m hoping 10.0 is so drastically different from the current games. Player will seriously ask for pre-10.0 servers(akin to Classic/TBC)

What is the return on investment to redo Stormwind and Orgrimar?

That’s a boring question, but that’s an important one for future revamps.

Just like the addition of extra player customization, it would be for our enjoyment. There’s many people who would love to camp in Thunder Bluff / Silvermoon / Ironforge, but it’s just not viable as those cities are lacking a lot of features.

It would be costly though admittedly, I always wished Blizzard had some type of Art internship program like disney does, where passionate aspiring artists could do some passion projects for WoW like giving old zones a graphical facelift.

The players would get a lot of cool stuff, and the artists would get some amazing work to put in their portfolio. It’s a win win

I hope so. The remaining faction capitals are becoming noticeably dated aesthetics compared to the high end newer cities they’ve been making.

Even just SW/Org alone would be really nice. They’re central cities and for new and old players alike it’d be very appealing to spruce them up.

Honestly probably not as I don’t think they’ve ever really revamped cities unles they’ve been the main focus of an expac, which I doubt they will be for next expansion. I definitely wouldn’t mind it though I think they could make them huge and massive hubs again for everything.

Agreed I really hope they do that as well. We need some miracles lol.

I wish. Orgrimmar post-cata is soo ugly :frowning: Original Org was at least charming until then.

A boring question, but definitely the right one to ask.

Until Blizzard finds a way to incentivize completing old content, I can’t see any big push to update the cities more than flavor things here and there (Darnassus refugees, teary eyed mourners for Wrynn’s funeral, etc).

Would I LOVE updates? Yes. Do I expect them? Nope.

Even the Culling of Stratholme dungeon has more aesthetic detail in it than Stormwind at this point.

Stormwind, probably. Orgrimmar, never. Orgimmar is still half finished from Cata. How many updates and repairs has SW had since then?

Blizz does not care about Orgimmar. The final nail was when they dropped the embassy in the middle of the goblin area, leaving it a mishmash of goblin and embassy and didn’t even bother to update the fishing daily that shows fish where the building now is. There’s so much free space in Org. They could have put that building anywhere, but they were just like ‘Meh, this is fine.’ Plop. Just shows how absolutely little they care about our capital.

Edit: Also, portal room in the front gate. ‘Eh, whatever. Here’s fine.’ Plop. Bonus: ‘If we make it a cave we don’t have to design a building for it.’

Part of me wants an update to make stuff more immersive.
Part of me wants to keep it as is, because it’s the only city I go to to rest my computer.

i rather have other cities remodel instead of Stormwind and Ogrimmar…

like i want to be able to fly on Silvermoon and on the Exodar.

i want for Guilneans to recover their city and for the Goblins to recover Kezan.

i want to be able to finally visit Gnomeregan as a city and have the dungeon place in the cavern of time as a new dungeon there where you could re experience both the vanilla version or the cataclysm version but in a more update models for the main retail version of the game.

i want to be able to go deeper in Ironforge because in Lore it is said that city goes much more deeper.

i want to have Thunderbluff update to have more caves inside the mountains and the Taurents tents updated because they look as old as blocky dirt.

i want the Troll Islands to have a port city with the help of the Zandalari trolls.

i want Lorderon half way restored so people can live there again.

with the help of Elune and the Winter Queen i want Tedrassil to get a new version but this time it should be on Darkshore and have Darkshore become an amazing forest.
