I have ran into an issue after upgrading my video card. Recently the classic client runs at 100% usage. This happens no matter what settings I use. I have also tried to run the client in dx12 and 11 with no change. Is the classic client designed to run on a single core only? I never noticed this on my 1080. Whats odd is this is the only game I have this issue with. Please let me know what data you need to dig into this.

In the meantime of solving your issue, you can download msi afterburner and set the fan speeds so it doesn’t go crazy.
ESC > System > Advanced
In here, check the Max Foreground/Background boxes and set them to your monitor’s refresh rate. I’ve also noticed that using Vertical Sync in the Graphics settings seems to increase the GPU usage a lot. You can CTRL-Alt-Del and monitor your GPU settings on another monitor while playing with the WoW settings to find what works for you until Blizzard gets their stuff together.

The computer is running a lot quieter now, and my GPU utilization is running at a smooth 49-51%.
That makes sense since it was set to uncapped fps which made the gpu try to run at max capacity trying to output as much fps causing it to run at 99-100% util.
