Ah yes because the jailer death comes for soul of your world and no no no cosmo divided will not stand motive is so much better then the simplicity of I just don’t want to be hungry. Something that we can all relate to on a human level. Sheesh it’s bad when you have me agreeing with someone who dislikes me.
Could you explain this theory to me? Because I don’t see how imprisoning himself in Torghast, stripping his own memories, and destroying the helm of domination does anything to further his villainous plot.
Next expansion could literally be anything but I’m going to guess it’s going to be on Azeroth and involve Wrathion to some capacity.
Honestly I think the way to do it would just be breaking the raid up. Have some fighting on his back, some at the front, some on his claws… keeps the epic scale but gives some cool variety.
I’m picturing a light forged mecha
That sounds like stupid fun. I’m in
You know what that does sound like fun
Why? Any thoughts on the reason they would do that? Other than “lets bring this huge dragon back to life”?
If you check here it tells you about Trust levels, and other stuff.
Glad to know that I’m not the only one who believes that the Primus is the main villain of SL. Between his shadowy outline being the “original” jailer concept art, his absence from the Jailer’s death cinematic, and his questionable tactics of bringing the sigils right into Torghast for the Jailer to take from them, I have no doubt that there is more to this character than meets the eye. Plus, the Jailer’s protoform is essentially a high resolution Robaxin mannequin doll, as if to suggest that it had been a puppet all along.
Maybe I’m just looking into this too much because I desperately want to have a better ending to SL than the embarrassment of a cinematic we have been given. In any case, I’m eagerly awaiting the mythic fight / kill to see if there is a secret phase or different cut scene after the encounter.
Sure. Just infuse him with some fel, or old god juice, or some other flavor of evil mojo, and bam.
If we had to fight him that would be interesting though. We were already punching Deathwing in the toenails due to his size, and Galakrond was way bigger. Like probably twice the size or more of the Deathwing we fought.
If he landed on the gates of SW like Deathwing did, his wings would probably extend past the borders of the city on either side.
We’d probably be most effective going in as bacteria and infecting him from the inside.
the WoW Tools owner even said it was nothing
THe map also doesn’t show Wyrmrest Temple . I think it is just a map of the land masses OP
I figured we’d spend two patches building a galakrond sized mech suit to kill him with. Forum gets its Tinkers, we get Dragons, Blizz makes money. Everyone wins!
Galakrond died by choking to death after Malygos lodged a rock in his throat.
That is what should happen. /nod
You’re thinking of Chromatus. Galakrond was defeated by non-powered protodrakes using rather mundane means.
That 35 anima that faded away, forgotten?
A taunka named Buniq was trying to prove herself worthy to her mate Akiak. Akiak along with Trag Highmountain found her corpse near the remains of Galakrond in Dragonblight. A bone fragment from his corpse was retrieved by Trag. He could see its potential and took it with him.
Some time afterwards, the Lich King put Grand Necrolord Antiok in charge of an effort to raise Galakrond into undeath. These plans were thwarted by adventurers who slew Antiok and ended his rituals.[11] When Deathwing attacked Wyrmrest Temple for the second time, Galakrond’s boneyard was used by the Twilight’s Hammer as an assault point against Thrall and his companions.
Following a meeting between the former aspects, Kalecgos discovered the Spark of Tyr–and later Tyr’s hand–within Galakrond’s skeleton. The artifact showed Kalecgos visions of the distant past, which caused him to learn the truth about Galakrond. As Kalec was rocked by these visions Jaina Proudmoore traveled to Galakrond’s skeleton looking for a way to aid her love.
Both Kalec and Jaina encounter the ghost of the taunka Buniq in their exploration’s of Galakrond’s skeleton (Jaina theorized her to be Tyr in disguise). After using the artifact to remind the other former aspects of their duties, Kalec thought he saw Tyr standing at Galakrond’s Rest.
Then apart of Yser revival she had to endure a nightmare were she relived The manifestations of the Non-Living who were the victims of Galakrond.
So, it possible that our tampering in the Shadowlands has open a way for Galakrond to come back, and we have to return the Dragon Isle that way the aspects can regain their powers as it the only way to stop Galakrond again.
When Galakrond started destroying the life essence of proto-dragons by consuming them, he underwent mutations. Eventually, he started to breathe a sickly green mist that Malygos described as “slow death” and reminded him “much too much of that ‘breathed’ by the not-living.” Those exposed to this mist became either lethargic as if their lives were slowly seeping out afterwards,or violent.
This shares characteristics with fel magic, which is created by destroying life energy and manifests as entropic green, causing demonic mutations in those exposed to it, and sometimes makes people more violent or lethargic. Richard A. Knaak stated that he likes the theory of Galakrond being affected by fel and that it works with what he knows of fel, but that Blizzard instructed him to keep the “green stuff” mysterious. However, when Micky Neilson was asked if Galakrond was affected by fel energy, he stated that he believes it was just disease.
It is also possible that the Old Gods were behind it, as they are known for corruption and mutation, and Yogg-Saron influence’s covers much of Northrend. The energy could have been related to Yogg-Saron and saronite which are of green color, or unholy necromantic magic which is often associated with disease.
In Legion, an unused quote from [Xal’atath, Blade of the Black Empire] suggested that Galakrond was a tool of the Old Gods: “A powerful dragon could be a powerful tool. Alas, gone are the days of Galakrond.”
It may have been a form of death magic, given how it gave rise to the not-living and how Galakrond’s skin started to decay. Death magic sometimes appears as green, such as the Unholy specialization for death knights.
This ambiguity may be related to his multiple Hearthstone forms.
I would actually be interested in a story like that. A double cross is always nice to spice things up and it would explain why Zovaal was so flat as a villain
This could actually be pretty interesting
oh great so the entirety of the fight will be in his stomach lol.
galakrond is as big as the skybox.
that said, it would tie in the titans well. blizzard was hard leaning into the idea the titans did something to him. never ever really had a conclusion to that.
