Exactly. Thankfully, you also don’t need to be very close.
This has made my gathering so much better.

still wish we could regen vigor in DF, where the zones are large enough to make skyriding more feasible then the smaller ones in previous expansions, but we definitely do have the ability to remain aloft and gather. good call!
I try to help when I can. Sometimes it works… sometimes it…
I have a friend who is trying to 100% the entire game, he has WoW1 > WoW8 with some 450+ characters, he doesn’t work, just him and his partner farming. This year, even with that many characters, he FINALLY got the love rocket.
It’s pointless, there are so many things that are just out of your control, there is no feasible way to get 100% without luck.
I read a post a few months ago, some rando talked themselves up about getting to 1000 mounts and was like “My hardest one was over 400 attempts”, great, my hardest was pre-nerf Rukhmar at over 2,500 attempts.
There is just too much in the game to try for 100% that you can only really take into account things that have a currency or rep or something that you can work towards, a pure RNG item you may never see.
I put out into the ether last year on twitter about the love tokens and how farming them on multiple characters was tedious and, asked for them to consider them being war bound. I am by all rights not claiming 100% credit for this, but this year love tokens were made war bound. I get some would be a little more tedious and not worth their time. Clearly the coding is already there. They proved they could make soulbound items warbound and have with my above example.
or petitioning blizzard to make everything way easier to get
Well yeh but no, I do want everything, but how much easier do you want to make it before we become one of those players that people here complain about? You know the ones who complain “OMG you just want everything for free”.
Some BLP, some currency, something, anything to make it so we are not perpetually chasing RNG for the rest of the time we play this game, but slowly so we can still play and still chase but not feel like we will be here forever.
Like if I got a currency for every raid boss I killed in Legion to buy Legion stuff, maybe after 12 months I could have enough to buy the Satyr Spaulders from EN that would be nice. As it stands I have stopped farming those because it’s been that long.
And I think that’s one thing Blizzard need to take note of, eventually we stop playing because it takes too long, maybe they need to research on those break points, how long does a person play before they give up if they never hit their goals?
i suspect they have data on that already and are happy with the balance they’ve struck.
Yes, exits for ALL dungeons and raids.
Also, break legacy raids into wings like LFR.
I didn’t even think about this myself. All this time I’ve been using the group finder trick (put up a listing and immediately leave group) to get myself ported to the nearest graveyard. Using the follower queue would be much more convenient!
All stuff in the OP, I only really agree that every instance should be designed with a fast way out that doesn’t rely on players entering through the Dungeon Finder or using some sort of teleport. Delves let you exit at any time even while solo, and I think this UI option should be extended to other instances as well.
To everyone saying this is pointless or that there are too many things out of my control—I hear you. I really do. It took me 16 years to get Invincible, so trust me, I understand luck has to be on your side as I referenced in my original post about patterns seemingly always dropping for alt’s and not on the character i need it on.
Yes, this is a ridiculous, borderline unhinged goal. No, it is not consuming my life. I’m just vibing, collecting pixels, and having a good time. When I’m not doing current content, this is how I choose to play. I don’t raid, would I raid if my scheduled allowed it? Sure! I don’t PvP, or do Mythic+, that’s a hard pass.
Can I hit 100% completion on Zones, Raids, Dungeons, collecting Pets and Mounts? Sure! Will it take time, absolutely. Will I ever hit 100% completion of the game? Not likely. Some things are locked behind PvP ranks, and I have about the same chance of hitting those as I do of suddenly becoming a billionaire overnight, but that’s not the point—I’m here for the chaos and the grind, and I’m loving it.
It’s not necessarily about making it easier, it just pushes along the “alt friendly” situation. Which was one of the driving points for the creation of Warbands with everything being shared account wide (right now the transmogs apply across all expansions, faction grind currently only applies to DF and TWW), but does not apply to trade skill recipes. Will this most likely become irrelevant when and if they do Burning Crusade Remix and you can just grind for the currency and buy the dragons you are missing. Yes.
