yeah I don’t get why anybody would ever buy huge blocks of time at once.
I’ve been playing this game since the start I’m sure I’ll overpay with a monthly sub but also I quit my sub and play other games at the drop of a hat and I’m fine with that.

This has zero to do with the cost. That’s a you issue.
Then perhaps a sub based game isn’t for them, and you don’t have to buy in 6 month block, pay monthly, pay a little more per month, and you just don’t get a cosmetic item.
Again, has zero to do with the cost, the cost of WoW has not gone up in 18+ years.
This is not the first promo offering a mount as an incentive.
Haha, people will come and go, always, a single mount isn’t what keeps most people playing WoW and lack of said mount isn’t going to make most people quit either.
Blizzard is a business, it is literally their job to keep people subscribed, it’s not a charity.

Yo, what? $100 for 6 months. $16 a month. $4 a week for any amount of time you want to play. That’s less than the daily coffee that makes ya feel good for an hour. Easily one of the most cost efficient time sinks.

It’s funny, I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that the Costco deals with the hotdogs and rotisserie chicken are operating at a loss, but they bring in so many more customers its basically just a marketing cost to them.

Wow for a month is the price of 2 dozen eggs in my city. Bro. If that’s your gripe then you need to reevaluate why you play wow in the first place.
If you had griped about professions, world quests, bugs, mechanics… LITERALLY ANYTHING worth griping about then I’d be like YEAH! FIGHT THE MACHINE! But iirc the developers who create the cosmetics mounts and other ingame flavor items are not the save team as game/level design.

Not if the game is not balance, time gate, full of bugs and dev don’t care.
Is like you paying for a movie and popcorn and drinks but the propcorn is old, stale, with no butter and cold while the pop is warm and water down, the seats are cover with other guest’s food, people talking loudly, using their smartphone through the phone and when you complain to the staff they don’t care and the screen is half working.
That’s what WoW feels like right now.

My bf bought me dinner this weekend, it was sushi. Cost him $100 USD, which is $134 CAD. That’s a good deal for WoW time considering now you can play for 6 months.
