I just upgraded from a MSI Gaming 960 GTX to a MSI Gaming 1070 GTX Ti. Did a clean driver install removing old drivers + registry files with a DDU Utility. For some reason I’m getting a hang up screen when logging into WOW. I did not have that problem on my 960 GTX.
Here is the youtube link to the issue.

Hey, Darlok!
Can you locate your World of Warcraft\WTF folder and delete the Config.wtf file locate here to see if it helps? If you have Twitch installed you may have to uninstall it before deleting this file.
Could be an addon getting stuck at login. maybe try disable all of your addons and logging in, just to rule it out.
Uninstalled Twitch. Deleted config.wtf in WTF Folder. Fired up WOW again… Got the whole BLizzard movie intro… But same problem. Still have the WOW hang up screen. Even disabled all addons.
Please collect a DXDIAG and post it here using the Preformatted Text button in the posting options. Just make sure the full DXDIAG contents are between the Preformatted Text tags.
do you have the game on an SSD or typical HD? Seems unlikely it’s a driver issue. Post a DXDiag and maybe something will pop out.
It’s not letting me post my DxDiag because i am exceeding the character limit of this post… I seem to be getting a lot of faulting errors in my DxDiag report… on the OLE report. Like 80% of my log is fauling errors.
Okay… So i just reformatted my 970 EVO SSD. Installed + updated Windows 10. Downloaded + Installed World of Warcraft without any addons whatsoever. This is a fresh Windows 10 install. Still getting the black screen ;\ Is this normal? Running a 4790k quad core at 4.4k Turbo’d, 16 GB of Ram and a MSI Gaming 1070 GTX TI 8 GB… 30 ms ping to the server.

Just want to know if this is a normal occurance or a Video Card issue. Thanks
Sounds like you are trying to post a MSINFO not a dxdiag.
DxDiag
1.Press Windows Key + R.
2.Type DxDiag and press Enter.
3.In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
4.Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
5.Open the txt file above select all, copy and paste to this thread.
@Darlok , Try disabling that Geforce overlay. i used to have some problems with that running also.
Is your game also freezing for 15~ seconds when switching servers?

Mine does that as does most of my guild.
Check out Long Load Times (Character Select)
We’ve been trying to get Blizzard to acknowledge its an issue on their end.

Good luck with that. They havnt cared about any lag/latency issue during BFA and just blame the Users for something wrong at their end.

This is exactly what happens to me. I’ll get to character select screen, character will have a brief moment of movement then total screen freeze and most times ends up with me instant logging into selected character if I take any actions.
All other applications seem to lose any priority and pause whatever they were doing, including discord and browser.
