All mounts are eligible the only exception are the shop mounts which are $25 per mount. When I say all mounts, I do mean ALL mounts. This includes mounts that are no longer obtainable such as Hellfire raid AOTC mount in WoD (can’t think of the name now maybe “grove warden”). Get the idea? ALL MOUNTS are eligible.
Some restriction on this idea:
Mounts that are current and 2 prior expansions are not eligible. So, for this example DF SL and BFA are not eligible yet. Once TWW is released it will be TWW DF and SL that are not eligible. Get the idea?
Players can buy a max of 2 mounts per month or 12 for 6 months or 24 for a year.
Player can buy 6 mounts at once and get 1 mount free (gold value)
Player can buy 12 mounts at once and get 3 mounts free (epic value)
Mounts can’t be purchased with tokens
This will help players obtain mounts that they forgot about and had to shelve because the list of mounts to chase keeps getting bigger and bigger after each expansion (you know what I’m talking about). The price for a mount is really not that high, it’s $10 which is 33 cents a day, practically nothing. I don’t think it requires much work from the software team either. Win win for everyone.
Too many restrictions. Sell every mount. No one anywhere is impressed in the least at what pixel creature your pixel creature rides around the land of make believe astride, and the people who are impressed by such nonsense are meaningless.
They will be available once newer expansions are released. You can’t expect all expansions to be eligible. If that was the case some players will buy all the mounts and will have no reason to play the game.
Assuming MoP remix has been successful, I personally enjoyed it. I’d expect to just see a bunch more remixes and that’ll solve the mount proposition in your, OP.
Personally, I think it would be cool to turn the old AOTC style achievement earned, no longer accessible mounts into a type of NFT. Let those who have them “Cage” them and trade and sell them on the auction house. Blizzard get’s their cut from wow tokens sold if people go that route to buy them and the players who earned the mounts rightfully so by completing the achievements when they were accessible get something for it.
I am so boring, I would spend ten dollars on a horse with the new model, but I think a lot of those options were BfA. So I’ll pick…the white stallion that is no longer available since super early in the game.
