1. Most fun Class to play? 2. Most boring class to play. And why

Hey guys,

I’ve been playing a frost mage all expansion, and all of legion, and a holy / shadow priest as an alt. I’m starting too burn out from playing them, and wondering what you guys think are the most fun Class to play, and why.

I know there’s plenty of follow up questions to be asked like what role? Ranged or meelee?? Tbh, i don’t care, i just want to play a class that is really fun, and has rewarding game play.

Both the classes - spriest and frost mage have fun gameplay loops, so I’m really not interested in playing something boring compared to them. I also have a 120 blood dk and my God… it’s haste most boring thing to play. I don’t know if there are other classes out there that are as boring, but I’d be interested to know what people think are the most boring classes and why too.

Of course it’s all opinion, but I’d like to hear yours

Cheers peeps.

Mained a warlock for years and years and I may just be burned out on casters but the only ranged I found remotely fun is a hunter. Melee feels so much better to play for the most part. In a raid setting I prefer ranged but it’s harder and harder to find a fun one.

Classes I’ve found fun in BFA:
Demon hunter (mobility, survivability, double jump and glide…tons of QoL)
Paladin (I love ret)
Warrior (fury feels like a wrecking machine and prot is good)
Rogue (who doesn’t love stealth)

Arcane Mage.

Mage is just fun in general (to me). Love Blinking, Teleporting, etc… It’s also boring since Arcane is just, “Arcane Blast… Arcane Blast… Arcane Blast…”

I enjoy windwalker Monk oddly enough but I enjoy healing and I just can’t get mistweaver wrapped around my brain (old dog new tricks) so I rarely play mine.

I used to enjoy ret but find it extremely boring now. BFA had killed ret and shaman for me.

Best class, warrior. Most boring class, not playing a warrior.

Frost mage lately. Probably because it is so different from what I usually play, which is mostly prot warrior, prot paladin, and sin/outlaw rogue.

Recommend all five of the specs I mentioned. They’re all pretty fun.

Let me tell you about Burst of Speed for rogues in 6.something. It was an AMAZING time to play a rogue.

Worst is probably rogue. Mechanically they are very bad.

Energy starvation, spamming the same ability over and over to generate combo points, keeping up roll the bones, target swapping with assassin, etc. and sub is apparently the worst spec in the game (never tried).

I don’t really remember how viable it was but I loved combat in WoD. It was the first time I had a max level rogue and I played the crap out of that character.

After race changing to a big boi KT… getting some glyphs for warrior… fury… it’s been pretty fun to be honest. Can’t seem to get into any other class or spec and kept going back to Fury now so I thought why not finally have a main after the horrible time I had with my Enh Shaman back in Legion, lol.

Most boring. Affliction Warlock. Hands down.
Though I have like a whole list of specs/classes I find equally just as boring.

I’ve always loved sin rogues. It’s like playing a melee aff lock. BoS was so amazing for farming old raids. I miss it so much.

Yeah, sin is what I prefer right now for everything outside of m+ on my rogue. Blade flurry is just too op to pass up 90% of the time in m+ though.

I did get pretty good at aoe as sin before I tried outlaw but still.

Fury warrior.

Thank god they got rid of wild strike. What a crap ability.

Most fun to me:
Demon Hunter:
Mobility, survivability, double jump, glide and QoL. Very fun class to play and very cool fighting style. Love the intro story and Order Hall campaign and their looks and armors/weapons style. I enjoy every spec… can’t wait to see in the future what the Third spec would add.

Most boring class:
Warlock:
I din’t like the changes to they did from Demon Lord of Chaos to Minion Master Mother of Imps the most. As for the other spec they are ok… just not that great either with the exception of Destruction that seems to keep its theme mostly intact in every god awful class pruning in each expansion.

Sparing readers the QQ details of why its not fun for me (IMO)

This class was my favorite for most of my life in WoW. Don’t remember on what expansion was it, but I was so happy with it when as Affliction I could off-heal myself and others, as a Demonlogy I could off-tank as a Demon Lord with my demon army with its unique Meta. As for Destruction its has always stayed mostly the same…but I remember being a lot more fun than it is now.
I was happy with every spec of it… then he was change to a what we have now and even though I love the concept of the class it feels more like a Necromancer of any other fantasy RPG than a Warlock (IMO) but worst as DK look/play better at it.

Most fun?
Warrior: Fury is just meaty and a good time. Prot is pretty good too and tanking isn’t too bad with them.

Most boring?
Affliction Warlock. This one is painful because one of my main classes is a Affliction Warlock but it is really boring to the point that you actually could die from mechanics because you are spacing out from boredom.

For me, I’ve had the most fun as a resto druid this expansion. No down time, form weaving for damage is fun, plenty of escape mechanics and buttons to press.

Right now my most boring class is my ret pally as it’s what i’ve been grinding pathfinder pt. 2 on… He’ll likely be benched for a bit after I unlock it tonight.

For many years my main has always been BM Hunter (still is), and my top 2 alts are Destruction Warlock and Shadow Priest. This expansion ALL of them feel sluggish and weak. I’ve also played in BfA with my Rogue and Mage. Out of all of them I would say the most “fun” has been the rogue only because I can by-pass so many mobs and get to where I need to go.

I see people playing Paladins and demon Hunters who are crushing it compared to my hunter or warlock.

Been loving blood and unholy DK since end of Legion - when I decided to finally start playing one.

Paladin is good fun for me, too.

Other than that, haven’t dabbled much in other classes, although warlock demonology and destruction felt fun low level. As did Arcane mage low level
