Whatever they are doing now is not something they should continue doing. IDK if I’m an outlier, but I’ve never bought a single damage potion this entire expansion. I have like 80k gold on all my characters, and don’t want to be spending like 1k gold per pull of a boss for potions, flask, food, repair, etc.
Please, no. Then they will gimp healer mana on the assumption that we’re chain-chugging mana pots and tank healing on the assumption they can chain-chug health pots. 5 minutes is better because it relegates pots to real emergencies.
Reducing the cooldown of certain potions is not an example of profession depth. I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic.

You play very casually from what it looks like. Not sure how my playtime is relevant here. Cooldowns on potions have nothing to do with the depth of the profession.
Having experienced classic, tbcc, and SLands I have to say that professions in general really suck in this game. Many MMOs do them better.
Id prefer they keep the 5 minute timer that progresses in combat but split the utility and dps potions so theyre on seperate sets of 5.
Having a dps need to deathrun or loosing a whole skip set cause someone used a damage potion 3 minutes prior on a boss before wo was around was a pain.
Id also like mana and rejuvenation potions moved over with healing potions so healers can use their thorough-put ones. Currently; early tiers with everyone’s gear so low we need mana potions to keep going as fights are longer and later tiers the potion affects do so little the extra mana converts into way more healing with gear level, so there’s never a good time to use them ouside of some quick parse fights.

Wait… this is about battle potions? I thought this was about health and mana potions… besides… don’t battle potions have 10-20 minute durations with 30+ minute cooldowns?

Bring back potions of prolonged power and potion procs you cowards. Then also bring back shorter cooldowns. Bam problem solved, more potion cd doesn’t matter if potions are cheap.
I mean that guy has mythic sod mogs so theres that. Also pvp has nothing to do with this discussion since you can’t use most profession items in the pvp that matters anyway. Who cares about achievement points anyway lol?
Its about potions not flasks. Flasks last 1-3 hours and go through death with no timer on refresh but only give flat mainstat, combat potions last up to a minute and increase damage done or speed, invisibility, slow fall ect. they have a shared 5 minute cooldown.
They use to instead have a 1 minute cooldown but wouldnt refresh in combat, that was fine in dungeons since you constantly dropped combat but in raids it meant if you wanted 2 you needed to drink 1 right before the boss was pulled so it’d go on cooldown and you could get another in later in the fight. SL changed it to 5 minutes but it comes up in combat making it better for raids but arguably worse in dungeons.
