1 Minute Potions CD in Dragonflight

You can’t in the first place.

I don’t play the AH.

What server are you on where they are this expensive?

Why aren’t you farming mats and/or an alchemist to sell mats or crafts?

I feel like we are pretty split as a community on what we want.

I get berated for saying 20 minute of WQ a day for rep/legendary farm is unacceptable.

However spending those same 20 minutes a day to farm mats, or earn gold one way or another (which has a lot more options available) … is too much?

I am not leveling an alchemist. Lol.

Shorter potion cooldowns would be a “pro-professions” move.

Dew it.

Well i meant more on the current toon. What professions are you using? Alchemy alone w/o leveling it will make flasks last twice as long.

I honestly didn’t mind the pot-chugging meta of ancient WoW.

They can fix the pre-pot problem by deleting the potion effect when you enter combat as they did with some buffs in the arena.

This.

I think we can argue the merits of lower cd on pots and so more uses/cost per attempt without having to necessarily include pre-potting. I think they could solve for pre-potting independently.

Wrong.

Having said that, I would stake money that on this forum you have never admitted to being wrong. And in my opinion, considering I’m perfectly happy with the status quo and knowing it won’t change, the only real reason to invest effort would to force someone else concede the point… which won’t happen because GDers don’t really seem to do that, so I’m just going to be happy knowing I’m right.

This is about potions…not flasks…

Yeah man, follow the thread for context.

I was making the case that if pots are overly expensive you could farm mats to sell or craft yourself, or just make gold some other way. Another reason for alchemy (added bonus) is to double the length of flasks, which would also help to reduce weekly spend.

Leave the birds alone. :rage:

I’ll leave them alone when they leave me alone!

The ZM birds need to spread their tiny wings and fly away! And take the snow back with them where it came from on that day!

That’s fair.

The benefit to giving potions a 1 minute CD over a 5 minute is…what exactly?

5 minutes saves significant consumable costs. What do we gain from shorter CDs since they would just be tuned around?

And……

Remove the raider tax from crafting recipes.
Potions use to much raw ingredients to make a single potion. Let’s go back to pre-legion style recipes that didn’t use so much raw resources.

That way we don’t need mission tables or ingredient vendors to lower the raider tax.

Not sure about the CD, but I really hope they bring back something like Legion’s Potion of Prolonged Power.

It was so awesome. You made like 5-10 of them per Blood of Sargeras, so they were dirt cheap on the auction house if you happened to not be an alchemist. I loved having just like a permanent 80 stacks of these and popping them on World Quests.

Please add something like that back into the game.

A lot of consumable cost is the raider tax in recipes. Pre-Legion you got more finished products like potions and flasks for fewer herbs.

Also what about SL feasts. The glutenous feast needed 45 fish to be Caught to make one feast

Pro-long power potions are a solution to bad crafting problems. All potions in legion before it used a lot of herbs.

Twilight Rose farming was obnoxious.
