i literally just dropped a forum about the same subject in question… 2 minor and 1 potentially medium-depth hotfixes and we get shut down for 8 hours today? Retail just got an enormous patch today and had a 1 hour rolling restart

ironically enough now updated patch notes about classic are showing up on the forums about AB launching today, yet their original post (which caused the question of why in the 1st place) literally said nothing about AB initially
Imagine not being able to play a video game for 7 hours.

Just noticed i’ve got an update pending in battle.net maybe sooner than we thought.
8 hours of down time for content that was already released years ago… Retail which is first time content doesnt even get this long of down time.

Well, they have to have time to mess something up… wonder what else they are breaking today?
15 years later and you think the company would get it together? especially when this has already happened in the past… you don’t think they have this coding backed up somewhere in their mainframe? can’t take 8 hours to copy/paste old code (yes i have coding experience, certified, before you troll my lack of knowledge), and this is blizzard, i highly doubt they are changing much, if anything about the code this time around. those bugs were already fixed the 1st time this patch came out 15 years ago.
