If there are 2 times as many Horde queuing as Alliance and it takes 1 hour for a game to end then your average wait time will be 1 hour.
If there are three times as many and games take half an hour the queue times will still be 1 hour.
If a game takes 10 minutes then the average wait time will be 10 minutes at 2-1 and 20 minutes at 3-1 ratios.
Alliance were doing you a favor by running quick games.
4/4 of my matches tonight had 16 - 18 min queues and were against the boring pve blob of discord alliance. After 3 games which lasted 7 mins each I had 6 kills and 7000 honor. The last game had some defense so it lasted 12 minutes and we got 3000 honor instead of 2000. All of the games were extremely boring for both sides.
Both factions are about even overall, but Horde have a higher interest in PVP compared to Alliance. This is why the majority of PVP servers are Horde heavy. Blizzard canât force Alliance to queue for PVP if they arenât interested in it to begin with.
While I agree that tends to be fun, the issue is more youâre just being handed your kills. If both sides had the mentality to defend, your tune would drastically change. Still have fun, but it wouldnât be the invincible wall it tends to be due to terrain advantages and NPC layout that Horde has from Galv and lower.
Your hypothetical math is useless because youâre making up how many people are queuing.
Starting to realize alliance are just mad again that they are losing. The first few days it was âcry more hordeâ now itâs âweâre crying and itâs all your fault horde!â
PvE servers are grouped with the PvP servers, so Horde who had nothing to do with what so many Alliance went through in p2 and who are vastly outnumbered on their server are subject to the same queues as everyone else. My longest queue has been 18 minutes, which isnât terrible, but it does mean we just canât do AV with friends at all. Thatâs the annoying part for me.
I have not played a single game where Horde turtled thoughâŚthat would be fun. Wish I could get in one of those!
This has all been very predictable, AV queues traditionally were a very long queue.
I do know on our server the queues are around 15 - 20 minutes, unless this has changed within the past hour. Iâm still getting a game in every hour, which even with a loss we still pull down more than you would in WSG.
My question is, if youâre chasing rank, why do you deserve a rank if you donât want to PvP?
Yes there are queues if there are more of one side than the other (as there is no mercenary mode like there is in retail where you can play as the other faction and it wonât work in Classic as you canât have paladins/shamans on the other side). If you were to reroll to the other faction you would be able to get those sweet sweet instant queues.
I donât even mind a longer queue with the older system. I can roll down to south shore and fish me up the mats to make FAPs between matches or farm a little gold.
