I hope the people that keep whining there’s more than 3 buttons in rotations will be happy with 1 button mode and stop crying for Blizzard to prune abilities.
A lot of us just don’t care. A rotation assist like this is incredibly cool for those with accessibility issues.
The people that whine care way too much what Johnny NoThumbs is doing, and not enough about what they themselves are doing.
From what I saw in that little LFR thing a bit back where we could get a dragon mount, probably agree.
6 times they wiped lmao…to the same OBVIOUS mechanics. I had to walk out. I wanted the mount but not that bad loll
Im loving this new style of wow. I just run and tap auto attack. Watch the rest of the group finish the content for me. I just got a loot roll as well. Nice
wdym “new”
That’s been the LFR experience for 10 years.
I’ve got a feeling the people who are worried about the 1 button rotation are the same who will find they do more DPS by using it.
People don’t like figuring out that they aren’t good.
This makes me feel super old, but try almost 14 years
1 button rotation is fine claims the human paladin.
BC BM: Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Steady Shot…
Grandma could play before she just wouldn’t be doing 70% of her potential
70% damage potential should not be given for free with a bot program
Why not? 70% potential damage isn’t that good, and at least half of being good in harder content isn’t rotation-based.
Every single complaining thread could be removed from the catalogue and replaced with this sentence. It’s literally no issue to the people crying about it most.
I have two of every class at level 80
I think it’s going to be be one of those “we didn’t expect this would happen” kinds of things.
In casual PvP I think it will end up benefitting specific classes/specs moreso than others - that’s probably my main concern.
Respect to you for being there for your brother. Nothing more fun than playing with family. Your brother is lucky to have you and keep the good work. So many people with illness or differences are so often abandoned by their family.
My best time in this game is when I play with my daughter, old man here, fun time.
Keep the good work.
It wasn’t always like this though. As a young man barely out of my teens. I couldn’t handle it. There were points back then when my thoughts went to it might just be better if he passed on, unfortunately that is the case for many with this disease. I turned to poisonous amounts of alcohol. At the time i was lucky for my grandfather and my uncle who supported him because I would have been no help to him. They are all gone now RIP so it falls to me or he has almost no one. I am grateful for how he is doing and that my dark thoughts at the time didn’t come to pass. Appreciate the sentiment.
That’s the issue though. Using 1 button ALLOWS people to pay attention to mechanics they otherwise wouldn’t.
I don’t really care about this other than if they actually do restrict the addons I’ve been using for 10+ years like WA, DBM, Plater. They can put all the bad player crutches in that they want but if I am forced to use their nameplate addon, based on the clownshow that is the cooldown manager as a proxy for how good their next attempt will be, I’ll probably quit.
These guys put systems in half baked like hero talents that no one asks for and don’t do a good job fully supporting it after launch. I have zero trust they will pull this off and if they don’t touch the addons that are already working really well, then fine, all that cost me is wasted dev time that I pay for. But I’m already subsidizing about 4 game modes that I’ll never play with my retail sub (classic, sod, vanilla, etc.) so if they think they can pull this off I’m real real skeptical.
I’ll also add that the one button system they just put into PTR already has more functionality than we have in prod playing manually. I just watched a frost mage cast blizzard on an aoe pack without an @cursor macro and without the user having to target it. What? Did they stealth enable blizzard to be cast @ target like ele shaman can do with earthquake? Then give us all that ability ffs.
Like… give me that functionality too.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. Easy enough to keep it balanced appropriately.
Some of the other changes they are proposing? Lots of slippery slopes they are about to try to navigate and given Blizz’s track record I can’t say I’m terribly optimistic.
The 1 button thing though? Yeah its not a big deal.
