Would it be possible to edit the spell list for the 1 button rotation…please. I’m asking because I like to save my big CD for special times, but I’m also looking forward to trying the 1 button rotation on my Legion Go handheld with controllers as opposed to setting it up like a tiny computer (it is a tiny computer, but I think you can understand my point…no mouse, keyboard, etc.).
I know, I’m greedy…but please…

Also, will the new cooldown manager get any customization? It’s a neat idea but I won’t use it if not - WeakAuras gives me only the information I want in the order I like.

If you’d like a custom version, then you’ll need to use GSE.

Seriously doubt it. If you dont like the easy mode, thats where pressing all your keys comes into play.
Never say never, but I dont see Ion allowing this to be customized, honestly
I don’t mind pressing all of my keys on computer…but when trying to use the console controllers it’s difficult. I’ll hold out hope for modifications…or even addons to help edit.

There are already addons in game for both using a pad and one button rotations.
And you can even edit your priority list on those.
Which ones do a priority list…I didn’t see that in GSE. Sorry to be a bother, but I travel a lot now and I’d love to reduce my loadout for playing WOW 
Hekili can use a custom priority list. ConsolePort is a must for pad play.
I use it on the Ayaneo 2 I got from my sister (she now uses a Rog Ally X and a GPDWIN).
As for how to combine the Hekili priority list with the 1-button stuff from GSE, that I don’t know, as I don’t use rotation helpers.
It doesn’t use your big cooldowns, you still use those yourself. It will use shorter cooldowns, but not the big one.
For example, on Boomkin it will use Fury of Elune and… whatever one makes your next Starfires instant, but it will not use Celestial Alignment.
Its a 2GB download and a Details update to go try it on the PTR.

the single button rotation isn’t intuitive enough to not have a need for customization, my warlocks current opener is is summoning a felhunter twice which is quite redundant and just ruins rotation, the one thing blizzard is trying to help new players with this system

I wrote this when I was trying to use a handheld, Legion Go, to play the game. Along with just using the controllers on it while traveling. Not a matter of knowing the spec, a matter of ease of use with the modern equipment.
Wow isn’t meant to be played on a handheld never been. It’s a pc game

Blizzard should give us the normal one button rotation and a customizable one.
I agree, but that was really before the recent reduction in abilities. As it is now, it is easier to play with a controller, but still not perfect. And for anyone that thinks that WOW shouldn’t be played with a controller; I would remind you that MicroSoft (owner of Blizzard) just teamed up with ASUS to release a new PC Handheld.
