Back in my day, many games only had a one button “attack” and they were glorious. Off the top of my head:
-Diablo
-Pokemon
-Every turn based RPG
- every early gen platformer
Even if they didnt, destroying and rebuilding or changing and innovating is how games and genres grow. RTS’ evolved into MOBA’s by doing something that wasnt done before.
Rotations are TOO complicated, button bloat too prolific. Rather than address that, they want to bandaid a one button rotation.
Young Kids will be able to do it.
Disabled or low skill players can do it.
Adults who cbf can do it
You know who doesnt like it? Elitests that “it ruins the essence of RPGS”, even the Dev team dont like it so they are putting the .3 second penalty on it (which is absurd).
