1 Button Heal Rotation (Why are healers discrimated against?)

Feels like Blizzard have been very discriminatory by ignoring healers in their 1-button DPS announcement. Given how hard healing already is to learn, it’s only fair that I can press the 1 button with an extra .2 s GCD and :

  1. dispel the right target at exactly the perfect time when my party gets a confusing debuff…
  2. Life swap at exactly the perfect time when someone is about to die that would otherwise take to much mental GPU to process.
  3. Shield only when my party is taking damage so I don’t waste it.
  4. Always ensure all my party has atonement so I can do more damage and healing.
  5. SW:Death whenever someone is abbout to CC me so I can play the game more often
  6. Phase shift when someone is about to HOJ me so I diffuse the enemy cc
  7. Cancel penance when someone is in range to kick me so I don’t get locked.
  8. Purge only the most important buffs, like PI but ignore things like renew.
  9. DPS those who are in target so I can do more atonement healing
  10. Re-buff anyone who loses PW: Fortitude so they have 5% more health.
  11. Spread dots to enemies without targeting them so I don’t have to click on multiple enemies while also trying to heal
  12. Place feathers at the feet of my allys so i don’t have to manually find my party and hope it lands on time.

These are Just a few quality of life improvements that will help me enjoy the game. I am sure other healers of other classes have their list.

If Blizzard are willing to help those who don’t want mechanics to get in the way of playing the game, or want to take things like weak auras and make them native, then why can’t they apply this logic to healers as well?

It’s totally discriminatory IMO

Getting tougher to tell the difference between satire and real nowadays

Healers don’t have rotations.

If you want to be technical, Healers already have 1 button rotations, it’s just a reactionary button press to whatever is going on during the dungeon/raid.

I dunno, I think it’s pretty obvious on this one lol.

Yeah they do.

No they don’t.

Yeah they do.

Gotta ramp up those healing abilities for maximum effect.

Its not just big heal small heal all the time.

That’s not a rotation lol.

It’s called Poe’s Law.:yum:

Yeah it is, using abilities in sequence, damage or otherwise to be ready to heal.

Most heals have a core rotation to maintain for any meaningful progression.

No, it’s not lol.

Nah. Most healing is hitting the correct button for the situation. i.e. everyone just took a lot of damage, use bigger heals vs. very little damage is going out and you can throw out a few DPS spells.

Some classes do have some prep that has to be done, like disc priest, but it’s nowhere close to a set DPS rotation.

Well. I dont believe you… lol

That’s nice.

Healing is more reactionary than a typical DPS rotation.

It’s more buff upkeep than pressing certain abilities in a specific order and repeat.

Like, I keep rolling Riptides on the whole party, then Chain Heal so everyone gets 10% extra hp, and Healing Rain off cooldown, and most of the rest of my healing abilities are for “oh snap” moments like Lesser/Greater Healing Wave and Totems like Healing Tide and Spirit Link.

Meanwhile, any DPS class is kinda builder-spender, start again.

Healers don’t play like that generally.
