1 button auto-rotation? Wake up Blizzard

So. Instead of reducing game complexity for the average player. You’re leaving the game as-is. And adding in a feature that auto-plays the game for you?

Have you ever considered not listening to these top-end raiders, and actually ask your average player what they want in this game?

You wonder why everyone stops playing the game?

It’s because the game is too complex.

Your average player doesn’t want to download addons to do anything in this game. Your average player doesn’t want to deal with 50 spells per class. Your average player doesn’t want to grind mindlessly for weeks. Your average player doesn’t want to get into raids that require DBM to even understand it.

My biggest complaints about this game are the fact that I need to have 5 action bars of spells and extra’s to play. Even in Classic. The fact that the game revolves around Warcraft logs. It is absolutely toxic. The last biggest complaint is the time-waste, This game requires so much of your time that it’s simply not worth playing. You pad the game in a dozen different ways.

Honestly, it’s absolutely unbelievable how out of touch the developers are. They’re sitting next to the top 0.1% of players in the game. Talking about how they’re making the game more accessible with a 1 button auto-rotation.

Your problem is needless complexity. And it’s being kept in specifically for these 0.1% of the players. The one’s sitting next to this dev in your video.

The solution isn’t to add in an auto-play button…

It’s to take a serious look at your game and find where you can remove bloat and complexity. And if that alienates the top 1% of the playerbase, so be it. Because in doing so, you will gain players elsewhere. Players that don’t play this game as a job.

Warcraft logs is one of the worst things that has ever happened to this game. It promotes an amazing amount of toxicity. Elitism. This game has been suffering with this sort of stuff for a decade+. The people interested in playing MMO’s are simply not interested in a game like this. You balance around the 1%, and you’ve lost MILLIONS of players because of it. Your game is a chore. Get some people in that don’t have raidbrainrot to balance the game already. You even managed to do this with SoD with Scarlet Enclave. You made content only a small portion of the playerbase wants to partake in… again.

Please. Just stop. Stop Blizzard.

No more.

It doesn’t. I wish people would actually pay attention to the presentation before clutching pearls.

They’re going to console port the game. It’s going to happen. With the simplicity the game will go to accomplish this, it will replace the entire leader boards with 11 year olds pressing X button while screeching into their mics.

You have been warned.

This isn’t adding simplicity. It’s adding mindless gameplay. Simplicity is reducing spells. Mindlessness is adding in a button that does an auto-rotation.

It kinda does, but I don’t necessarily see that as a bad thing. Some people like the depth and complexity of certain specs and rotations, and some people just really don’t care to get better at the game in that way. As long as it isn’t equal to a player who is actively pressing their buttons, it just gives the latter a better chance to make it by in the game and make more of a contribution to any group they’re in.

What’s sad is the game really isn’t that complex. It gives the illusion due to the options and such. But reading goes a long way.

Just like reading the article before getting upset lol.
Not optimal, aka if you want to continue doing bad and getting carried because of your laziness, then use the thing.

Rotation Assist
There will be a rotation assist in the base UI that can:
Light up the next button you should press
OR have a one-button keybind for your rotation at a cast of a slightly longer GCD
The goal of this is not supposed to be optimal, but it’s supposed to be useful in the same way that people use Hekili

The irony of this coming from a classic hunter player

It does not automate. You have to press the button for each ability and it’s random and slower.

And we have the perfect example as to why WoW won’t ever reach a widespread audience again like it did in the past.

Thanks soulbreaker.

Yeah, I play the game for fun. Not for Ego.

This post of yours immediately shows what you value in this game.

Most classes have somewhere around 24 spells. So about half of what you’re complaining about.

Stop asking to prune classes. Go play a simple class like paladin or hunter if that’s what you want.

What is this news and can I get 10s done with it? What spec(s) is it for, trying to watch Great British Bake Off while doing my weekly 10s guys

Okay, and do you need 24 spells to have meaningful combat in a game?

I’ve played games with 6 spells that feels better than WoW. ?

There is absolutely an option for 1 button rotation play that chooses the next ability in your rotation that is optimal from a target dummy/patchwerk perspective. It does have a GCD penalty. But if you’re saying it’s not automated in the sense that you don’t just sit there and enable the game to play itself while you afk that’s true but it’s kind of a semantic argument.

Cool, go play those games then. I don’t want to play a game with 6 spells.

This is more of an accessibility thing. If you’re currently playing your class just fine by pressing the buttons it’s going to have no effect on you. You’re still going to be more effective than anyone using this assuming you actually know what you’re doing of course.
And if you’re someone who has a hard time playing WoW due to a disability or something this is going to make the game more enjoyable for you.

It’s a good thing imho.

No there isn’t. It’s random. You could be casting your builder, dots, openers twice. It is not your rotation exactly as it is.

You are getting the addons confused. There is one that tells you your rotation. The one button does not do the rotation.

The timing of this subject is perfect after seeing people tear each other apart over the dinar situation.

Looking forward to seeing more of these topics. :joy:

It’s not accessibility. It’s autoplay with a needless penalty.

Just don’t implement it.
