1-120 leveling?

3 days played is about right, a little faster if you skip reading, do the same path for each toon, etc.

For fastest leveling I use:

  • Heirlooms 3/3 (Including rings)
  • Pick zones with clustered quests, especially kill quests.
  • Finish the zones, many have higher xp rewards or multiple turn-ins at the end.
  • Always log out in an inn.
  • Food buffs (bear tartare).
  • Use an AoE spec, and learn how much you can safely pull.
  • Warmode (you may get killed, but believe me you’ll learn your class better).
  • Herb/Mining

-1-60 is a cakewalk, 2-4 zones tops.
-60-80 is still the worst, but better now. TBC zones, kill rares. Lots of clustered quests. WotLK is more fun, less linear. Don’t get dismayed, and remember the gioal is to push to 80, where the downhill starts. Make sure to Herb/Mine.
-80-90 Jade forest. You may have to pop into Krasarang Wilds, for the lasat couple levels. Best xp gain is from herbs/mining in MoP.
-90-100 Draenor Flying. If you don’t have it, get it on one toon. You’ll get your time back in leveling alts. Chests and Bonus Objectives. After you have enough resources to buy the 20% xp buff potion from your Garrison Quartermaster, buy them. If you play it out right, you can take one right before you hit 100, and the buff will last until about 102 in Legion.
-100-110 Herbs, chests, and rares are no longer worth it. Finish 2 zones. Any 2 zones. If you see a legion symbol on the map, hit that zone and do those World Quests.

Hopefully you know 110-120 at this time, but if not, we can cover that as well. Hope that helps!

Can’t have something that’s TOO efficient! I remember RaFing my wife to level characters and between that and heirlooms, sometimes mobs would be gray before we finished a dungeon run. Good stuff.

I think if you go all out with the intention of power leveling that you could do it in 3 actual days. Assuming you had full maxed out heirloom gear, had the alt sitting in an inn for max rest xp, use all the best questing addons, do dungeons when it makes more sense than questing (aka low levels or when you have a dungeon quest).

Just for a frame of reference, way back in MOP I leveled an alt. And I walked into the Outlands at lvl 58 at around 10:30 AM and walked into Northrend at lvl 70 around 10 PM. And I didn’t have fully maxed heirloom gear, nor did I use any quest addons. So now that you have quest mods and they made leveling faster I think you could realistically get to 120 in like 80 hours if you only slept 6 hours or so a day and literally only played the game.

OMG lol that’d be crazy xp man lol. What happened to those days :sweat::sweat:

60-80 is horrible! The worst grind seriously. 80-100 breeze, MoP/WoD content is perfectly laid out making it easy to level and less painful. 98-110 easy mode lol, artifact weapon will eat mobs alive.

I think I was only taking an average of 40 hrs. More for horde less for alliance

Doubt that very much. Prior to the latest patch, it was about 80-90 hours to go all the way to 120. I clocked a 50% drop in time going 60-80 so at best I bet you are looking at 45-55 hours, which is still considerably less than the “3 days (72 hours)” people are saying.

There is a certain warrior aficionado, I will not name name but I believe he did it in 24 hours give or take. Just before recent patch.

could probably do it quicker even, the last 10 levels go by super fast.

110-120? You and I have incredibly different definitions of fast. That is almost as bad a slog as 60-80

It took my a couple weeks seeing that I dont play everyday.

compared to the slog through the last 5-10 levels in previous expansions? yeah, it’s fast.

I guess I don’t remember levelling through WoD being that painful because of bonus areas +xp pots. And Legion I mostly just levelled through Invasions after my first 2 chars.

It’s the truth, I’ve done about 1 expansions content a night, I did all of my azeroth leveling on my first, then did northrend, then completed pandaria AND Wod in one night, I only have a little over 2 days played so definitely possible.

They weren’t craftable. They were drops from rare elites in Nagrand, and sometimes you could get them from garrision missions. I used a few while leveling up this character. I recall that my first dungeon was Deadmines; I was level 15 when I started it, and in the high 20’s when I came out.

I don’t normally bother with heirlooms as Iuse character boosts for most of my toons . I am only lvling up a lightforged draenei and a void elf to unlock their heritage armor . The two future races kul titan and strolls not at all interested in .might level up a maghar orc someday too from scratch

boh!! it take me 8 days
because I take my time

People said
“you out level a zone before it’s finished”
and
“leveling is a joke you just one shot mobs, where’s the challenge?”
and other things along those lines for so long and Blizz was like…ok scaling.

110-120 is (if I don’t get distracted making jokes in /1 & /4) ~1.2hours per level.

Pandaren Monk for Double rest xp and Enlightment buff daily. If there’s a day you don’t feel like playing, grab the enlightenment buff at least.

Pandaren Warrior for Double rest xp and the class with the lowest amount of xp needed to level. On top of that, warriors can charge, which makes traveling in dungeons/quest go so much faster.

Daily fishing/cooking quests in most major cities. The xp scales with your level.

Holiday events & buffs. The quests scale to your level. DMF Whee! buff. Sit your butt next to the carousel and queue for dungeons as a tank/heals. Grab the buff again after every 2-3 dungeons.

Double gathering professions. Only engage in gathering if the ore node/herb is in the direction you are heading. Highly recommend Herb/Ore or Enchant/Skinning. Check AH prices on enchanting mats before committing to it as selling BoPs to a vendor might be better in the long run.
