So just to put something in perspective.

Player A has 10 hours a day to PVP. Player A spends 10 hours in AV.
Player A nets 100k Honor in 10 hours

Player B has 2 Hours a day to PVP. Player B spends 2 hours in AV.
Player B nets 20k Honor in 2 hours

Blizzard reduces truck load amount of honor

Player A has 10 Hours a day to PVP. Player A spends it doing AV for 10 Hours
Player A nets 50k Honor in 10 hours.

Player B has 2 hours a day to PVP. PLayer B spends it doing AV for 2 Hours
Player B nets 10k Honor in 2 hours.

Time for simple math
20k is 20% of 100k

10k is 20% of 50k.

Do you see how this isnt a problem?

I am a proud casual that will not mind reaching rank 14 because I donā€™t have the time to meet such requirements to maintain that rank! Rank 3-6 is good enough for me.

Its a problem for people gaining honor in other ways.

Its more like:

Player A plays running simulator. Nets 50k honor in 10 hours.
Player B plays WSG because they want to PvP and relatively long games. Nets

Rank 14 is easily obtainable for casuals. Just join AV 8 hours, follow the main group, then have a family member do this for the next 8 hours, and then have another family member do it for the next 8. Works best with young children. The more children you have, the easier rank 14 is to obtain.

Were you saying casuals wonā€™t get higher ranks with the way contribution points work regardless of how much honor is rewarded?

I wouldnt say REGARDLESS of how much honor is rewarded. But something like that

If you care about ranking up you do whatever is necessary for the most honor and most CP to rank up. Not ā€œthis is not pvp so i wont do itā€
Hit R14 and do whatever you want with your time

There is 100% absolutely nothing casual about rank 11+ and everything upto that point can be gained weekly if you play casually, without much effort.

So go rank up through w pvp or through wsg? There are other ways to pvp besides avā€¦ but you canā€™t complain about not competeinf with the rest of the pack who are ranking up faster. Thatā€™s the whole system. You have to farm

Battlegrounds were meant to have long queues so you could go out into the world and PvP before you got put into the BG. Near instant AV queues with 7 minute wins are severely screwing stuff up. This is fundamentally broken and I see no reason to play it.

Letā€™s be real. Blizzard is out-of-touch with a huge portion of itā€™s playerbase anymore. They donā€™t understand the mindsets of people who wanted Classic in the first place, and changes like this patch just further the notion they still donā€™t understand those players at all.

We donā€™t want fast and nasty rewards Blizā€¦thatā€™s what Retail is about. And, now Classic too I guess.
