Been getting this error code for over 2 weeks now. I had a ticket up and was in contact with the support team but the ticket reached the maximum amount of replies so I’m now putting this issue here.

This all started after the small update on April 6.

Things Ive tried:
a. reinstall graphic drivers using DDU. then “Scan and Repair” on Bnet client
b. Reset all my interface settings (WTF, interface and cache folder reset)
c. Then removed all my profile settings.
d. Reinstalled the game. Twice.
e. SFC /Scannow and DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image.
f. ScanDisk and DiskDefragmenter.
g. mdsched.exe to run an extended test on my RAM. Then Memtest86. Nothing detected.
h. Deleted blizzard and bnet from LOCALAPPDATA, APPDATA, TEMP, PROGRAMDATA folders.
i. Then created a new windows user, reinstalled WoW on the public folder then tried running it on my main account through the public folder.
j. Windows reinstall and downgrade to Windows 10
k. Then finally they said it could be a hardware issue. So I bought a new motherboard and hard drive and RAM.
The issue persists after all these steps.

DXdiag: https://pastebin.com/MjhkV0pZ

Happy to provide any other information you need to diagnose the root of this problem.

Edit: I want to add that I have made sure I have no overlays on, windows firewall and defender features are off and have tried booting with just windows services

There’s an error for an app I can’t identify called e882798c.exe. There are also errors from the MSI suite of apps, including the MSI Central server, and another called Cv2.exe. Did you bring your data to the new Windows install? I’m thinking malware is the issue.

Thanks for checking. I’ve ran a few different malware detection tools already, I tried doing full scans on Avast, Kaspersky, Emisoft, Malwarebytes and Microsoft Defender, nothing was picked up or quarantined.

I didn’t bring any data over when I downgraded to windows 10. I formatted then deleted all the partitions on my main drive then clicked new to create fresh partitions before installing windows 10 on the main partition.

I only used MSI central to install all the drivers for the motherboard. It’s been disabled on startup after that. I will uninstall it now and try to find e882798c.exe and Cv2.exe.

Sounds good, let me know how it goes.

I’ve completely removed MSI centre and SDK. DCv2.exe was related to MSI centre. e882798c.exe was an executable that was created in the Temp folder so I ran a full scan with Microsoft Defender then rebooted to safe mode to do full scans using Hitmanpro and Malwarebytes. No malwares detected.

Then tried to play only to get 1 new error followed by another divide by zero error
2 new error logs for tonight.

These RAM sticks are brand new and I ran memtest86 on them last night. Here’s the memtest86 log: https://pastebin.com/hyFWrrHe

Is the drive WoW is on using NTFS format? They recommend installing on the same drive as your Windows install, which should be C.

I have been experiencing this same error for about a month. It was managable for a bit but has become so the game is unplayable. I’ll post errorlog/MSinfo/DXdiag when I get home, but please post if you find a solution

I think I was able to fix this by rolling back my Nvidia driver to 30.0.15.1215 For me atleast it appears to be a driver problem

I’ve had it installed in different places with the same result. First C:/Programfiles, then my drive with other games that are working without issues, then into the public folder which was also in C, now it’s on one of the new SSDs I bought along with the motherboard and RAM a few days ago. Same result in all those locations. Mainly INT DIVIDE BY ZERO error.

I’ve tried rolling back drivers, as well as the NVIDIA studio driver which was supposed to be more reliable and stable for software work. Same issue.

I’ve also now tried switching to an older GPU, an AMD 5700xt I had on one of my older PCs. Getting the same error. Only thing I haven’t replaced since all this started is my 13600kf. I don’t have another CPU to use and it was able to pass the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool so I’ve ruled it out for any errors.

Edit: Just to add to the CPU, I’ve been playing Dragonflight with no issues since release on the same processor.

Had a similar issue that started 3 weeks ago. My overclocks and bios default clocks all were stable under stress testing for 20+ hours.

Did everything in the world to fix the crashes with no luck. Ended up just throwing more voltage at my CPU and Ram and the crashing went away.

Fresh Windows 10 Install. I wiped every file.
Fresh WoW install. No files were copied over.
DDU Reinstalled my GPU driver.
Rolled back my GPU driver.
Updated all my drivers. Flashed my BIOS with the most up to date version.
Attempted with out and with XMP.
Attempted with zero over clocks.
Stress tests on my Ram / GPU / CPU / M.2.

No other issues with more demanding games such as CoD Warzone 2 etc.

Can you try Demon’s solution?

I’m not sure what was in today’s small patch but I haven’t crashed since. I will try Demon’s fix with voltages if I encounter anymore crashes but as of right now, I’ve been able to play for over 6 hours uninterrupted. Fingers crossed it stays this way.
