But the Faithless were the ones that disliked the Vulpera. The Devoted worked alongside the Vulpera to bring down Korthek.
You are unfortunately correct that Blizzard can choose to slaughter their established lore for any reason, in any way. But I like to think that somewhere, a few devs still respect the lore and flow of logic within the world and try to hold to it.
If they were a completely new race, not an AR, Sethrak would be more likely, but given their context within the game now, I would really not count on them at this point.
