I have the entire thing and have never even used it outside of like once. It’s not very cool.

Oh they will. After they get a bunch of people to pay real money for it with an enticing “last chance!” sale, like they did with the Celestial Steed and Pandaren Monk before immediately making it free for everyone.
If you spend 1 real dollar on the cash shop after that BS, you’re a fool.
Remember the fomo of the store pets like lil ragnaros and the pandaren monk? Buy quick guys!! Then right after they got announced to be trading post rewards. Guys got milked

not my game not my choice. call me odd and or old fashioned, but i feel like if blizzard removes promotional items, achievement and other items from game and then cherry picks what is to return, i feel as if it should all return and be obtainable.
its like with these tcg mounts and other rewards. it is pretty bad business and a kick in the teeth to any player that paid rl money or tons of in game gold for these items and then years later give it away for free just by doing nothing.
dont get me wrong. i like that other players can now obtain and enjoy these items. i own all of them via in game or bmah but i am happy for my fellow players. but thats not the point. it just feels like everything that has been removed should be still obtainable and not just a handful of items because this causes anger and resentment. this is the kind of stuff that pisses everyone off and splits up the playerbase.
example. plague proto drake and black proto drake. players earned this. now the plague is and has been available on the bmah since its release in mop. the black proto drake. nothing. still unobtainable. bad business. either remove it all or bring it all back. get off the fence.

The simple solution is don’t remove anything. I was looking at a hat the other day that would be perfect for my transmog and got on WoWhead to see how I get it. Guess what, “this items source has been removed from the game”. It was just a dang QUEST! Come on!!! Ugh.

Lots of false info here.
But true, it’s over if you had not already started the old program, you will not be able to subscribe to it anymore.
If you already have an on-going RAF and even if you started it yesterday, you can still get the rewards, as long as the recruited stays subbed for the next consecutive months and don’t take breaks. If they take a break, they will be migrated to the new RAF rewards.
So example, if you started 1 account yesterday, and sub for 12 months as RAF , you would be getting the old reward. I’m half-way throuh old RAF and as long as my second account stays subbed, I will continue to get the old rewards.
They mentioned recently that they will bring back some old removed transmog, you still have hope!

I hope so because man do I want it! It’s just a white witch hat but it’s PURE WHITE. Most white gear is not white, it’s gray/blue with barely any white in it at all. This thing was screaming white! Theramore Arcanist’s Hat.
They should make the RaF rewards be a currency, that you spend on these rewards m including the mounts they removed before.
Like, each month you get one coin, and then each reward costs x coins, so that you can choose.
Or just put the retired ones in store. I would buy the explorer’s set instantly.
Well I was fine without it for 15 years so I guess I’ll still be fine without it.
I always wanted that enchant but could never get myself to sign my own account up for a RAF for that long.
