Came to the realization that I do not have as much time to play this game as I did during Covidlands, especially with my Guild slowly fading away
We started up together during those first couple of COVID waves. While the real world was unsteady, we had an absolute blast
Shadowlands had many problems, but I will always be grateful for WoW being our “sanctuary” while we were all staying home going mad. So many of us played all day and had fun as if we were teenager’s again with little responsibilities
Even though I am “quitting,” I still recognize that I will sometimes have bits of downtime where I am home with nothing to do
During these times it’s nice to be able to log in for an hour or so and do a few battlegrounds, maybe level an alt to experience the story of a zone I haven’t done before, or just screw around talking in trade chat
When Dragonflight launched, my IRL schedule was so busy that it took me near a month and a half to level 60 - 70, and I had a good time all the way through regardless.
For me personally, WoW has transformed from a game I felt I needed to no-life all day to instead a game I can occasionally enjoy in chunks
Considering there’s no option to purchase sub time in single-day or hourly increments, I felt like the 6-Month Sub was the best choice with the slight discount. I also enjoy the direction the game has taken for Dragonfight, and in turn still want to support Blizzard monetarily
I may not be playing every day, but it is nice to know I can hop on and mess around to blow off some steam, talk to people, and overall just have some mindless fun
Also, the forum access from my phone is nice for when I have weird shower thoughts and in turn compulsively share them with you all on GD, sometimes to the displeasure of a few (sorry lol)
